This was our third summer in a row staying at Stonewall Lodge. We love it. It's a unique property--rustic log construction with a luxurious interior. The grounds are beautiful. The vast yard and multiple decks make for perfect summer lounging and entertaining. We also appreciate the friendliness and responsiveness of the owners.

Stonewall Lodge is the perfect place for a mountain getaway. Absolutely beautiful! Super clean. So comfy, feels like home. Peaceful and relaxing. We loved everything about our stay! And hope to come back in the future to experience the other seasons in Vermont!

This is our first experience where we feel compelled to write a negative review.Our nighttime arrival after a long drive was disappointing-30 mins to chip away ice and snow to get into the garage, 30 bags of trash in garage, shoveled walkway to get in house, kitchen dirty, freezer would not close, and dishwasher door slammed down on my shin. 2 SUV loads of trash removed on Sat of our Thurs-Mon stay.Other above issues not addressed.Did not bother to shovel to the hot tub, which we presumed would be dirty.Car stuck in garage for hours as door malfunctioned. House needs a deep clean and declutter. Since host's standards did not match ours,we absorbed that weekend cost and asked to cancel two future 4 night stays-1, 2 wks and the other 9 wks from date ($850 night all in) and not forfeit $2400 of deposits.Host was uncooperative, offered $500 credit (not asked for) on our first $3200 weekend and plans to keep future deposits, despite her re renting it, because we were 'difficult'.
