The apartment Gårdsros covers the entire first floor of the main building and has two entrances and it own terrace. The hosts live downstairs and have their own entrance. The apartment breaths a tastefull atmosphere with natural materials and handmade wooden furniture. Three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a big living with dining and sitting area, all with stunning views of the river, the fields and the mountains. A big barn and some sheds. Spacions parking. Belonging to the farm are the fields and forests, in totall some 380.000m²

Piet and Sitas apartment was very lovely and very cosy. We spend new years here and they even brought us some tasty snacks on New Year’s Eve. It is a great starting point for hikes or day trips. They gave us a few recommendations to choose from and four days are definitely not enough to discover everything. We had very windy and snowy weather but it’s also nice to just stay inside and Piet was so nice and cleared the road for us when we came. We would love to come and stay here again some time during summer!

We hebben het erg naar de zin gehad in Gårdsros. Het is een ruim appartement met 3 slaapkamers, waarvan 2 met een 2 persoonsbed en 1 kleinere kamer (voor kinderen) met een stapelbed. Er zijn veel zelfgemaakte elementen, met beneden een eigen plek om buiten te zitten en boven een balkondeur, waar je ook nog buiten kunt zitten. En de ruimte rond de boerderij is natuurlijk nog veel groter. Genoeg te zien en te wandelen in de omgeving, of wat verder weg. We hebben dichtbij huis elanden en reëen gezien, in de Dovrefjell wilde rendieren en muskusossen (ver weg, door een telelens) en op weg weg naar Åndalsnes nog kraanvogels. Helaas moesten we vanwege het extreme weer , waardoor Noorwegen dit jaar een aantal dagen werd geteisterd, een paar dagen verplicht binnnen blijven. Gelukkig zaten we hoog en droog en was het geen straf in dit cozy appartement. Piet en Sita zijn erg aardig en behulpzaam. Denken met je mee bij het vinden van oplossingen. We hebben goede herinneringen aan Breigutu.
Een hele fijne plek. lekker rustig. Piet en Sita zijn erg behulpzaam. wij hebben erg genoten. super mooie locatie.
Perfecte start van onze vakantie in Noorwegen! Knus appartement in prachtige omgeving. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor verschillende nationale parken. of gewoon genieten van thuis uit. ons verblijf was veel te kort.... de kinderen hebben genoten van de aanwezigheid van Nordi. we komen graag nog eens terug! Breigutu gård is located in the Gudbrandsdal valley, 25 km west of Dombås in the Oppland county.The river Lågen flows along the field belonging tot he farm. There are numerous daytrips starting from the farm, your cabin lies like a spider in its web!
-Lordalen, the valley into the national park Reinheimen with houses moose, reindeer, wolverine and lots of birds offers rapids, cultural heritage and lots of hikes or mountainbike-rides.
-Dovrefjell, the beautifull mountainplateau with special flora and fauna, herds of reindeer and even musk ox, invites to long or short hikes.
-Åndalsnes, a small harbour village at the Romsdalsfjord is a 90 minute drive away. Fjord fishing from shore or from boat, mountain climbing (Romsdalseggen), salmon fishing.
-Trollstigen, the famous hairpin road and Trollveggen, Europe's highest vertical rock face, are also only 90 minutes away.
- Norway's highest mountains Glittertind and Galdhøpiggen are in the Jotunheimen national park and easy accessable from Breigutu gård. Valdres Flya in the same region offers great mountain landscapes, hiking and troutfishing. Rafting and kayakking on the river Sjoa.
-Geiranger, Geirangerfjord with the famous Dalsnibba vieuwpoint are within a day's trip.
-The Atlantic Road with all its famous bridges and ocean vieuws is 2 hours away!
-Rondane mountain plateau with incredable nature lies just 1 hour away...
In autumn the incredable beauty of the colours of the surrounding mountains attract photographers, winter provides cross-country ski round the farm and alpine ski in Bjorli or Dombås (35 min drive)
In spring and early summer the rivers Lora and Rauma are spectacular as they form waterfalls and rapids with blue-green waters, rushing towards the sea.
Summer is known to be dry and sunny in this region: long summer days and short and light summer nights provide the ideal holiday conditions...
At the farmyard are the four persons cabin Benteros and the two persons cabin Matsros and at a distance of 25 km the mountain-cabins Zegerros and Silkeros in the mids of national park Reinheimen also belong to the farm. Booking a combination of the cabins and apartment is possible!
