This is our second time in the lighthouse keepers house, and our third trip to this cove. Every time we meet local people who are friendly and helpful. Since the beach is private, it's never crowded. We found lots of nice shark teeth and fossils, mostly because of some kind locals who helped us the first time we visited. This property is great because it's right on the beach with it's own entrance. It's particularly nice in the cold weather so we can come in and out easily. The house itself it very nice. I love the screened porch for keeping sandy items. I slept in the top level bedroom on the first night which was very windy. Even through closed windows I was able to go to sleep listening to the waves. There's a DVD player in the living room, so we watched movies after hours walking the beach. The stairs to the top level are a little intimidating, but you just have to be aware of where you are walking. The water is well water, so we used only bottled water.We will definitely be back!

the Cove Point Lighthouse keeper's house was totally relaxing! There's lots to do in the area and plenty of restaurants to choose from. it was so quiet and peaceful. Exactly why we love this place! Marci handled all our questions quickly!

A winter weekend was surprisingly mild weather, warm and crowd-less.

Our whole party agreed that the beds were super comfortable. (we did not use the sofa bed). The view from all the windows were stupendous. Not having neighbors meant we could keep the blinds open. It was cold, windy and rainy while we were there but the furnace worked like a champ. And HOT water was plentiful. We would have liked to know the water was sulfur before we left home so we could have planned ahead with drinking water and ice. The kitchen is very basic in its supplies. Bring your own cooks knives and if you have a favorite pot, bring it. There were only 4 of us and we had to run the dishwasher every day to have enough cups and bowls for meals. The description says there aren’t any puzzles, games or books but we were pleasantly surprised to find a few. The big disappointment was no DVD player in the LR so that we could watch what we brought to share. All in all, a pleasant space to reconnect with our family group. We were all bummed to not get into the museum or lighthouse.

Marci was a very gracious hostess. She has meticulous instructions for everything. The place was so relaxing and peaceful. Loved the photos in there of the previous lighthouse keepers and their families. Would recommend this place!
