We stayed there when the blizzard hit the area. But the cabin was safe and cozy. It was a perfect shelter during the winter storm. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and we really enjoyed talking to Lori. The tiny little town called Coolidge is quite peaceful now but is has some interesting and tough history behind the scenery. I highly recommend to stay overnight for those who go across the border between Kansas and Colorado.

Lori's Cabin was super cute and clean. My girlfriend and I arrived after a long day on the road; I'd missed an instruction from Lori asking our ETA. I finally responded just two minutes from the Cabin, and she promptly gave me the door code. No fuss check in! The Space itself was beautiful. Cozy and warm, with a sweetly stocked kitchen. A soft bed, an unobtrusive TV, basic kitchen, but a great shower! The Cabin was homey! The sweetest touch was a short history book about Trail City, the Wild West Cattle town that boomed and busted a hundred years ago. Written by Lori's mother, Larue, the love and pride for hometown history (even the darker parts) shone palpably from the pages. The two of us really enjoyed reading to each other while we cooked and unwound from the long travel day. Thanks Lori!
