Beautiful location and amazing hosts. The property was private and secluded, and allowed us to be away from the busy city and into nature. Although we were not in the cottage for a majority of the time due to our friends wedding, the time we spent there was amazing. Definitely want to go back in the future.

This was an absolute dream-stay for me! Truly one of the most special properties I’ve ever visited. The land is absolutely beautiful and the farmhouse has been restored to quirky and stylish perfection—it is obvious that Leslie is a designer! I was seeking a place to rest and restore and found so much comfort in the sound of the creek running through the property, swinging on the porch at night, looking up at the many stars, and exploring the 5 acres of land admiring the wildflowers. I was visited by dozens of deer and many wild turkeys during my stay, which I loved. I extended my stay halfway through, as I just didn’t want to leave. Ed and Leslie are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable—even leaving me a bag of locally made cheese and caramel popcorn. I will absolutely be back to the Starshine Cottage!
