My family and my sister’s family came together for a week on San Andres. The Casa Santa Helena was good for our 2 families. The kids loved the pool to cool off and play. The housekeeper and cook were very friendly and helpful. We paid for groceries and they made lots of great local food for us. The rooms were big with comfortable beds and strong AC. The house is older but maintained and clean. The property was safe, private, and had strong wifi. It was very quiet, except for 2 nights there was music from parties next door at Casa Iguana. We loved this calm (leeward) west side of the island, where you get less winds, amazing sunsets, and the water is crystal clear. We really enjoyed easy access to the ocean (2 minute walk, across the road from the house) where you can jump into the ocean or do long swims. Note there’s no ‘beach’, but a nice rocky step to jump off. There is great snorkeling 50m out from shore and we also did a shore dive nearby (200m away) at Booby Rock.

This ocean front house is very pleasant, comfortable and safe. There is a nice garden, great kitchen and perfect swimming poll. It is in front of the most beautiful sunset of the island! It is close to West View but, better than that, we could jump out of the ramps / rocks to the blue sea, just in front of the house to do snorkeling and refresh from the heat! 100 mts from us there is a great dive shop / school called Sea Pride, with whom we made 3 great dives. The 3 housekeepers were amazing! Helpful and made our stay really pleasant. The hosts were always ready to help, easy to reach and gave us really useful tips! We loved the location, great to be there! If we were not staying there, we would not discover the best side of the island. But we hired a mulita (sort of golf cart than can run at night) for everyday / night, so that we could easily go to the sand beaches, and down town. If we go back to San Andres, we would definately like to go back to this house!

Casa Santa Helena es un lugar auténtico, con arquitectura muy caribe y un espacio muy privado y agradable. El mejor lugar lejos del ruido de la ciudad y cerca de las mejores escuelas de buceo. Lo mejor un equipo muy amable en casa. Nelly y su hija Ana Julia no dejan pasar un detalle en el cuidado de la estadía en esta casa 🏡 de mar 🌊 maravillosa. El encocado de pescado 🐟 de Ana Julia delicioso. Ni se diga del casero Jaider que está siempre atento de todo el funcionamiento de la casa y de orientar con las provisiones y actividades. Nadar, cafetear y ojalá bucear buceo 🤿 al frente es lo máximo. Y los atardeceres 🌅 en el Faro 🦀 son lo máximo. Es bueno tener un auto rentado todo el tiempo para poder moverse, las playas de San Luis están a solo 5 minutos en auto (Mule) o 25 caminando. Los amaneceres en San Luis son lo Máximo. Gracias por compartir ese pedazo de paraíso con nosotros.
