Such an incredible experience - slow beam is like living in a piece of art. Every part of the house is thoughtfully considered and there’s a new surprise at every turn. We appreciated the small touches like shampoo, almond milk and a great record collection. The way the city lights shine through the trees at night, it’s like twinkling stars - pure magic. My partner & I enjoyed our stay in Lauren’s meticulously designed & considered home. Slow Beam is full of mostly Naarm (Melb) based works by artists and designers. Favourites of ours included the bronze rock doorknob by Anna Varendorff, the wooden coat rack by Fred Ganim, & Esther Stewart’s carpet design. The kitchen design is superb & fully equipped with everything you could possibly dream of using to cook. If you do plan on cooking, you will need to purchase most items yourself, as they only have essentials. The fireplace heats the lower level & creates a mood. You can also adjust the temperature in each space - it’s energy efficient & works well. We had many soaks during our stay as the tub is comfortable & extra luxe when using the Le Labo products. You can see wallabies & the odd kangaroo grazing or hopping about - all views are spectacular. Lauren & Keith have similar taste in music to us, so we enjoyed playing records throughout our stay. Slow beam is an absolutely stunning, curated experience. It's luxurious, filled with beautiful furnishings and art, as well as being in a picturesque location and with gorgeous views. Slow beam is for those who appreciate the finer things. The bath was heaven!
