We had a great time on the island, hosted by the very warm couple elen and espen. We stayed there with our four young boys and they loved the walks, animals and garden to explore, even though we had a bit bad luck with the weather.

What a place! The beautiful island in the huge lake is a great place to have an island adventure. We were there with 5 kids and we had the best time. Building fires, bbq, swimming in the lake, hiking through endless forest, food at a nice restaurant and a nice krog. Muskito’s are an issue like anywhere in inland Sweden, so bring repellent! And… bring groceries, no shops on the island (of course) Espen and Elen are the best hosts, very much caring and pro-active and superkind. Without ever being intrusive. They really made the experience better. Don’t expect ultimate luxury, do expect a fantastic way to have a unique and supercool adventure, easily doable with young kids too. And also: fhe boatride to and from the island n Espen’s cool little blue icebreaker is a nice experience!

What a great place!! The island is remote and absolutely beautiful with lots of different animals to watch and great hiking trails to roam, but it also has a nice café for lunch or coffee. The house has such a long history but it has also been lovingly restored and brought to the 21st century so that there’s nothing you will miss. All in all a wonderful stay, a short break for the soul to breathe, relax and enjoy - I can only recommend staying at Elen and Espen’s!!

Merveilleux séjour à Lũro 🤩. il n'y a que Airbnb pour offrir de telle expérience. Merci à Elen et Espen d'avoir permis cela. vous êtes de super hôte ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. l'ile est merveilleuse, et nos hôtes font tout pour que le séjour soit parfait. Vous nous avez fait vivre notre rêve suédois.

Vi hadde en helt fantastisk langhelg på Lurö hos Espen og Elen! Huset var plettfritt og romslig, og omgivelsene var veldig vakre. Espen og Elen var ekstremt behjelpelige med hva enn det måtte være, og til tross for at vannpumpen røk første natten, har vi ingenting å utsette på oppholdet. De svarte raskt på alle spørsmål vi hadde, de hentet vann til oss hver dag, og vi fikk dusje og hente vann i en av sjøbodene på tomten. Vi fikk mange gode tips om hva vi kunne gjøre på øya, og vi kunne låne både ATV og båt. Anbefaler dette stedet på sterkeste, og vi kommer mer enn gjerne tilbake! Tusen takk for en fantastisk langhelg!
