Cuba and Havana has tremendous beautiful world class hotels with all the comforts you would expect as well as many great B & B s. The energy of Havana is amassing!! How ever , if you like a clean quiet place to stay and to mingle with the locals ,Casablanca is were you want to meet and rub shoulders with authentic Cuban people . MarAmar is the place to stay in Casablanca!l For me is The best of the best!! Raul ,its host is the most friendliest of host I have ever met ! Very well educated , he speaks English and other languages and he makes breakfasts that are out of this world with fresh fruits,local honey and authentic Cuban Coffee!! MarAmar is an oasis in a desert, since there is a limited amount of B & Bs in the area and this one is the number one for me!!! The Cuban people are most welcoming in Casablanca! You will feel like a local from the first day you arrive! Don't be afraid to say Hola or Buenas!! They are Honest , Helpful, Polite, Intelligent, well Educated and most important downright Original. I would call this place a people to people destination , a place were you will feel right at home in a quiet and totally safe location with everything you need to rest , relax and make your own Mojito with Cuban Rum after a day of museums and great restaurants! The looks of the area can be deceiving if you have travel to other countries were crime is out of control. Cuba is not like that. In Cuba and in Casablanca is totally safe like no other country in the world! MarAmar is close to everything via taxi or via ferry with a great trip across the bay of Havana every 1/2 hour right on time! At MarAmar the AC is nice and cold ,the beds are great with clean linens , hot and cold water, TV ,WiFi,land line and in a totally comfortable super clean apartment .
