Beautiful house. We had everything we needed to cook some meals in and enjoy our time lounging and taking in the views. The house and deck are much bigger than they look in the pictures- tons of space. We loved the location too. It was nice to feel like we were in a remote setting and yet be so close to restaurants and grocery stores.

I may be biased because I got engaged during our stay here, but my family and I loved this home. Somehow this home managed to be luxurious and cozy at the same time. There’s lots of interesting art and personal possessions throughout that make it really feel like we were staying at a friend’s home. The backyard is lovely with picturesque scenery. We stayed here in July. While there is no AC, there are lots of the windows and fans provided. The temperature also drops significantly at night (60s). The hosts provided more than we expected and the grocery store is just a short drive away. There’s a nice beach about 20 mins away (bring bug spray) in Reid State Park and I recommend trying the fried scallop basket at Five Islands Lobster Co. We would love to stay here again some day!

The house is extraordinary. The structure, fit and finishes and especially location are spot on. We loved the deck and dock, even swam a few times! We spotted bald eagles and a mink catching a fish. We liked being close to Wiscasset as our son and girlfriend have a wine bar there. We cooked quite a bit and had everything we needed. Hope to stay there again.

This place is (unusually) even better than the listing indicates - the setting on the Sasanoa River is strikingly beautiful, the house is modern, bright, and airy. The pictures don't do it full justice, it's quite an idyllic spot to camp out for the week. We came with our family of four, was very spacious for us all. Like most houses in Maine, it's not air conditioned, but if you don't hit the once-in-a-decade northern New England heat wave it is totally workable. It's very well appointed, quite clean, comfortable beds and furniture, etc. The communication is fantastic, the deck is huge with great views (and night stargazing), location is great -- close enough to Bath and Brunswick to get all your necessities and find restaurants, but isolated enough on the river to feel truly away from it all. Superb proximity to Reid State Park and its lovely long beach, Five Islands, Boothbay, Portland, and other points of interest. One of our Top 3 AirBnBs ever....we cannot wait to return next summer.
