Sally’s place was as described and spotlessly clean and tidy. We enjoyed staying there as a base for a day trip to Akaroa. Lyttelton was handy and also the City Centre. Lovely views.

Sally and Hugh were very welcoming. They have a nice property and invited us to use their beautiful pool and to enjoy the grounds. The studio is private and the view is magnificent. Sally kept in touch during our stay, checking to see if anything was needed. We had some lovely conversations with her and her family, and Sally went out of her way to introduce my granddaughter to the chickens and sheep. I would highly recommend this host and the accommodations.

If you’re looking for a place to unwind from a long flight, stay in Christchurch without being right in the throbbing heart of it to immerse yourself in the secluded position of Sally and Hugh’s property, you’ll realise what a gem of a stay this is. With its paired back minimalism of Japanese and Danish style influences, clean layout and lovely aesthetic I found the apartment was everything and more than I expected. The Rapaki Track literally right outside the gate is the perfect place to stretch your legs and take in the countryside. Sally and Hugh are the most engaging and easy going hosts to stay with, plus just the most delightful people to meet. You’ll want to come back time and time again.
