This is a wonderful property! We can't say enough great things about this place. We absolutely loved staying here. The views (from every room!) are stunning, the decor is beautifully done, the house is very well maintained and clean. And, this house is in a great location. Highly recommend!

I struggled with writing this review as the good is really good and the bad is really bad for this house. First the good. The location is second to none. The beach and dune line is great and being ocean front at this home was fantastic. The house has a great layout and it accommodated our group really well. We had our early risers in the main house and those that like to sleep in over the garage and everyone was accommodated. We also travel with our Chocolate Lab and the gated beach front deck was perfect for him to lay in the sun and we didn’t worry about him wandering off. Now the bad. One the the most important features of this house that lead to us selecting it for our first week of Spring stay was the wood burning fireplace pictured in the ad. 30/40 degree nights with a fire at the beach can be quite cozy so you can imagine our disappointed when we were informed after we arrived it was no longer usable because the owners chose not to have it maintained for this year. We likely would have stayed elsewhere had we known. The house is also suffering from general disrepair and is in need of a deep clean. One of the upstairs bathrooms has a towel rack partially ripped from the wall and the shower tile is black with mildew and needs to be re-caulked. The kitchen utensils were in such poor condition they were all but unusable. If I had to stay here again I would pack my own kitchen equipment rather than deal with the junk in this one. The home electronics were a mess and there is no stereo to play music. There are two wireless speakers but the firmware was old and we couldn’t update it or connect to them. The televisions were really old and the cable tv didn’t work in all the bedrooms. The icing on the cake however was what I discovered on the last day of our stay. Upon stripping the bed per the instructions for the house, I discovered the bed in the master bedroom did not have a mattress cover under the sheets and I had been sleeping in a bed with giant urine stains for the last 9 night. Not happy. I contacted the management company several times during my stay and they were very responsive and did what they could to address my concerns without disrupting our stay. As someone who owns a couple of vacation rental properties, this really comes down to the property owners willingness to address these shortcomings. I think this house was once a grand waterfront home but it is in need of investment to bring it up to the standard that warrants what they are charging to stay. In summary, if all you care about location and being ocean front, it wasn’t a bad place to rent. If you are looking for first class accommodations in an ocean front setting I might suggest you look elsewhere.
