Boderne has a lot of attractions within comfortable walking or biking distance. Heading 1km east you will find the military training area Raghammer. Its a fascinating heat and dune landscape that you may explore unless exercise activities are taking place. Going further 5km east you will find the famous Michelin restaurant Kadeau in the dunes of Vestre Sømarken. If you continue even a bit further you will get to the small harbour in Østre Sømarken where you also find "Bakkarøgeriet", Here you can have the traditional "røget sild" (smoked herring) made the traditional way over open fire in chimneys.
.A short walk against west you will get to the picturesque "Boderne Havn" and from there you can continue against west along the coast in pristine beach nature. If you choose to head north you can find a hiking trail called "Linjer i landskabet" that will lead you to some very interesting geological and cultural attractions in the area south of Aakirkeby.

You can park your car at backside of the house. There are 2 bikes available by which you easily can reach the supermarkets in Aakirkeby or Pedersker (7km). There is a bus stop (no 7 and 8) in Boderne by which you can explore the island. In Aakirkeby you an find a Thai take-away and a pizzeria if you want an easy meal!
