This place is complicated. The hosts are fabulous, and the apartment is really cute with a great kitchen with great amenities. The drawbacks though make it difficult to balance. I'm 5'3" and my knees were nearly against the tub when using the bathroom. My daughter and husband are 6' and were very uncomfortable in the bathroom. It's a beautiful, old house, and I doubt much can be done about the bathroom situation, but if you're tall you should be aware of this issue. The bed we slept in had a definite slope to the center making our nights not terribly restful. The house is located on a noisy street with neighbors playing loud music pretty late into the night. On our last night, we could barely get in due to the number of firetrucks responding to someone setting a fire in a neighbor's front yard. I wouldn't call it a bad neighborhood, but it's not the best. In addition, and it was not a convenient location for connecting with the Culinary Institute.

Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Poughkeepsie. Convenient, comfortable, spacious, seamless communication with host, great wifi connection, easy walk to Downtown. A great Airbnb!

The thoughtful hosts went above-and-beyond with supplies at this homey and conveniently-located apartment; we arrived very late and greatly appreciated (and thoroughly raided) the snack basket that greeted us on the kitchen table. One heads up: the apartment is clean but, if anyone in your party is highly sensitive to environmental allergies, they may end up a little sniffly.

Michele's place was so homey and nostalgic. Mixing authenic charm of home with modern comforts. Here for dance comp. We loved all the special touches, snacks and games. Note: I walked everywhere! To civic center, both bridges and all neighborhoods in between. I only avoided main street and I never felt unsafe! Get out and walk this city, especially bridges and waterfront. Took kids to children's myseum. Best restaurant was Miss Saigon. FDR's home tour was great Have fun and book this beautiful space!
