We have had lots of trips to Skye. But Deborah’s place topped them all for the location and the scenery. The house is cozy and comfortable with everything you would need for a long or short stay. I hope to go back in the future 😊

Lovely and cosy house with incredibly views of the sea and the nearby islands. Elgol is a beautiful village with amazing walks nearby. The house is spacious and as described on the listing with a fully equipped kitchen etc. I would highly recommend Deborah's place and would certainly go back if I were to visit Elgol again. Thanks Deborah!

This cottage is cozy, comfortable, an has fabulous views. We were not blessed with very good weather (storm Agnes...), but the views were still great and it was fun to watch the storms roll in. The house has everything you'd need (including for a baby) and the different spaces worked really well for us. The wifi was strong enough for my husband to do some remote meetings without issue. The location is definitely rural, but the road to Elgol is well paved and the passing bays work well once you're used to them. It's a beautiful drive out to the house, but a bit long if you plan to be exploring the Isle each day (you basically need to drive to Broadford before going anywhere else). If you plan to spend some of your days just relaxing at the house, this is the perfect spot to do it, and if you're a baker the kitchen is very well equipped. Deborah was a fabulous host, very responsive, and managed an unexpected power cut to the whole area very professionally.

We stayed at Grandview with our 2 twenty-something daughters and our poodle! We all had a great time. The cottage is very well equipped, and lacked nothing. There were even special blankets for dogs! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the views were amazing from the garden, which is edged with a lovely fuschia! We all enjoyed sitting on the bench, admiring the view of the Elgol community and the Small Isles. Elgol is a little bit off the beaten track, but seems to be a vibrant community. It was a 35 minute drive along single track roads to Broadford. It is a great place for a bit of peace and quiet from the buzz of south east England! Thanks Deborah

We really enjoyed our stay at Grand View Cottage. The beauty and tranquility of the place (in high contrast to the main attractions on Skye) and the stunning, ever changing views. (No TV required.) While the house it self provided everything our family of four required. (Incl. Wi-Fi for the kids… ) We would clearly stay at in Elgol and Grand View Cottage again.
