Villa Maja is located in village Hodilje, near the historic ports of Ston and Mali Ston, 12 km from the main Dalmatian coast road at the entrance to the Peljesac peninsula. The house can only be reached from the village of Hodilje (2-3 km from Ston) by a 300 meters footpath, not by car. This guarantees you complete privacy and tranquillity. Alternatively, you can take a boat (available for hire at our discretion) from Hodilje to the private landing 100 metres from the house. The house is set in spacious grounds on 3 levels and isolated from other properties, so you will be completely alone. The living room opens onto a big, tiled terrace containing chairs and tables with fine views across the sea to the Dalmatian mainland. The shallow bay in front of the house is very safe and good for swimming, sloping gradually down into deeper water. The villa contains two bedrooms, with queen-size beds, a big living room, which can accommodate 2 more persons (kids primarily), kitchen with big pantry equipped with all the amenities and dishes needed (even more than that), large bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle. Outside there is a garden shower, barbeque (charcoal), washing machine in the garage, and plenty of deck chairs and recliners. The interior is well maintained and is original in such a way that you get the impression that the house is yours, and not that you are in a hotel or renting environment. We stay in Hodilje, in a separate house where we can offer you a safe parking place during your stay. Hodilje has no shops, but it has a friendly local taverna that also can be easily reached by boat. Ston has a daily market selling fruit, vegetables and other regional produce, plus 2 supermarkets, a wine shop, pharmacy, hospital, police station, post office, bank, bakery and many cafes and restaurants. When you arrive, we will carry you and your luggage to the villa by boat. The journey takes about 5 minutes. The premises are very child friendly, as there is so many things for kids to explore starting from nature of Dalmatian coast, Sea and coast of Peljesac bay, good for snorkeling. It is isolated and peaceful. We also welcome all kind of pets you might have. Dogs are our favorite :) The house is located right next to the sea, and there's no neighbors around. So hard to find those days, perfect for vacation.
