Willing to experience the real Tuscan countryside and get in contact with local people? Welcome to our Farm! This spacious house on the second floor of a Tuscan colonica is the perfect place for a group or a family of six. The house is located on the top floor of a typical Tuscan "casa colonica". It has three spacious bedrooms, each with private bathrooms, a large kitchen with fireplace and a sitting room with a double sofa bed. The bedrooms can be arranged with one double bed and four single beds, which can be turned into two additional double beds. The circular flow of the living space is perfect for groups as there is both space to gather and the possibility of privacy for all. The house has a private terrace for outdoor eating that overlooks the gardens and a gate blocking the stairs, to make sure that even the littlest in the group stay close at hand. It also has a wide private pergola for eating in nature. The rent is part of a “casa colonica”, which is divided into three portions. Perched on the side of a hillock, the "colonica" has a classic Tuscan structure with a large porticoed entryway. It is surrounded by apricot, loquat, cherry, peach and olive trees interspersed on all sides. The rent is part of our 500 hectares organic farm. When choosing to stay with us, our guests have the unique opportunity of sharing the everyday life of a Tuscan working farm. They'll be in contact with gorgeous nature and with an Italian and international staff.

We loved our stay! The house was well appointed, good bedrooms, good bathrooms, great kitchen and beautiful surroundings. The pool made our stay just that much better. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed being able to buy farm fresh products from the shop. We recommend this AirB&B to any one wanting peace and quiet and still living close to wonderful Italian villages and towns all worth visiting.
This place is outstanding. It is pure beauty and really gives you the opportunity to relax and enjoy nature at its best. the apartment is nicely furnished and offers everything you could need. the pool is the place to be for young and old. speaking about young. Kids will love it there. Our son did so. Francesco and Ilaria are always there to help you. You can have a little chat or ask them for advise on what to do or where to go. These two are one of a kind. We hope to be back there soon.

The surroundings are genuinely dedicated to tourism and agriculture and therefore offer a rare glimpse into authentic Tuscany. There are multiple organic farms & local producers in the area.
The farm is an hour drive from Firenze, Pisa, Livorno, and one hour and 15 minutes from Siena and Lucca. San Gimignano, Volterra and less hectic Certaldo & San Miniato are very close (about 30 minutes drive).

Our farm is an hour's drive from both Pisa and Florence international airports. While some guests do come by taxi and spend their vacation relaxing in the sun and exploring the property, you will need a car to visit any restaurants, shops, or local towns. The roads at the farm are all dirt roads (that you can easily drive on with a city car) and there is shaded parking at the house.

Ten years ago I transformed my family's historic estate into an organic agriturismo. Since then, I divide my time between Florence, where I live with my wife and our three children, and the farm. Barbialla Nuova is 500 hectares of forests and pastures, 100% organic, where we raise Chianina beef, hunt for white truffles and produce honey & olive oil. There are hosts living and working on the farm. You can find me at the farm two days per week. We're all always happy to share the secrets of the area with our guests, so you can be sure to find the best restaurant, farm shop, artisan goods or simply the best way to spend a rainy day with the kids.
