While staying in Seixal, make sure to rent a car. There are no taxi services available, and it takes about 45-50 minutes to drive to Funchal, where you can access most of Madeira's tourist attractions. If you do find a random taxi, they might charge around 70 euros for a one-way trip to Funchal. Knowing this, I would have avoided staying in Seixal.Seixal is surrounded by beautiful nature, and you'll love the scenery and the company of other visitors. However, the house we stayed in had a classic style with all the basic amenities. The mattress wasn't comfortable, and the bathrooms had an unpleasant smell.I'll definitely return to Madeira, but I won't stay in Seixal again. Instead, I'll choose Funchal or Porto Moniz.Despite these issues, we enjoyed our trip. We ended up renting a nice automatic transmission car and traveled to different locations in Madeira every day. Don't worry about spending a bit extra—it's worth it in Madeira

Overall, it was a good place to stay. The only part that caught us off guard was the amount of people that come to the dock which is by no means the fault of the host or the place. Just makes it a little difficult for when trying to rest. There is a restaurant nearby that is pretty good, but just be aware that at night time they play music until pretty late and it was loud. At least that was our experience. However, the place is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. There is a lot to see and lots to do.

Such an amazing building. People took wedding pictures in front it is so magical. Nice restaurant around corner. Listen to the ocean waves while you sleep. Though in a public space at the beach, it is a very secure building. It was a fabulous place to spend a few days hiking and enjoying the sea

The location of this home is simply spectacular. Beautiful views of the Madeira coastline, crashing waves provide a wonderful soundtrack. As advertised, the spot is completely non-private, with tourists roaming around the home at nearly all times. So that was less than ideal and made relaxing outside more difficult. We had one problem w/ the plumbing at the cottage but Joana was very helpful in responding to and supporting our needs.

We had a wonderful time in this house. Very good contact with Joana! Everything we needed was available in this house! The bathroom was recently renovated and very nice! The location was beyond amazing! Breakfast on the beach / have a drink during sunset / waking up and taking a dive, ... Would recommend this for sure!
