Our planned destination was Monet’s garden, and Veroniques place seemed like a convenient resting place. Mistake! I recommend you plan Veronique’s place as the destination, and Monet’s garden (v. crowded) as a convention place to visit! The photographs don’t do it justice. Rustic on the outside, and very classy inside. Large bathroom come dressing room. Lovely breakfast served by Veronique at a time to suit us. Veronique, as well as obviously being a talented and keen gardener, clearly views hosting guests as a profession, not merely an expedience. We had planned to eat out, but as soon as we saw the riverside setting we cancelled dinner, bought cheese, bread and wine and had a wonderful evening in (OK we were very fortunate with the weather). We regret only that we stayed just one night. Next time, more, for sure.

Geweldige accommodatie! Een oase van rust. Super mooie tuin en de huisjes/kamers zijn prachtig gedecoreerd. Aan alles is gedacht… Veronique is een geweldige gastvrouw. We voelden ons helemaal thuis! We verbleven met 2 kleine kindjes (2 en 4 jaar). Veronique zorgde proactief voor speelgoed, babybedje, kinderstoel… Een aanrader!!

Wonderful private bungalow with all the modern conveniences and just on the river bank. Veronique is a charming hostess and very responsive to our needs and time table. The french breakfast was delicious with the best breads and croissants we have had in France and delicious apricots pureed with rosemary from the garden. Not to be missed1 We'll be back. Also FYI right by Monet's home and gardens in Giverny

Such a beautiful place, only 5 minutes out of giverny means it’s easy to get there but you’re out of the main town and hassle, if I ever get to come back to France I will definitely stay here again!

Veronique was the perfect host ! Her cottage by the river is better in person than in the images and we spent a lovely night there! She was also kind enough to allow us to leave our baggage at her home after check out and was super accommodating. The cherry on top was that she had 2 tickets to the monet gardens from one of her guests that could not make it - that she graciously offered to us ! Super sweet. I highly recommend this bnb on your next trip to Giverny !
