Stayed for a week in February 2024 with my husband. We’ve visited Hopeman many times before, mostly in summer, so wanted to come out of season, with a view to retiring here in a few years. First stay at this property and was very happy with it: clean, nicely decorated, tastefully modernised whilst keeping many original features, and very cosy. It was very much a home from home, but in a much nicer location! Only a couple of minutes walk from the beach / harbour and we were pleased to find that the village and surrounding area was still vibrant and active, without the summer tourists. We were able to eat out (including very good coffee, cakes and ice cream), shop and explore easily. With just the two of us, we found the cottage spacious and met our needs. It would feel a bit crowded with 6 people. Limited outside space but not an issue for us. Overall would definitely recommend and my favourite of the 5 holiday lets we’ve stayed in at Hopeman. Would be happy to return!

Wonderful, clean, modernized fisherman's cottage. I appreciated the simplicity of a small home and central location. It was great to experience life in a small historic fisherman village, and was able to walk everywhere. The beaches and local playground were more than we hoped for. Very friendly people.

What a great place to stay. Very homely, comfy, and cosy. It’s just beautiful. The real fire makes all the difference 🙂 The cottage was a lot bigger than I expected. (My son still had to duck upstairs though 😂😂) Hopeman is a fantastic sleepy seaside toon. Perfect to relax and rewind. We’ve been there loads of times and love it 🥰 Shiona is very helpful and always answered any questions quickly. Will definitely be booking the cottage again.

Quaint and practical cottage in heart of the village with stone walls and pitched ceilings upstairs. Great location for Moray coastal path and exploring local beaches.
