2泊3日の釣り旅行で利用させていただきました。ロケーションは最高で釣った魚を快適な空間で食べることができました。 目の前が砂浜だったので今度行く時は海水浴もしたいと思いました。

GW中に2泊滞在させて頂きました。 【良かった点】 ・部屋は清掃が行き届いていた ・部屋は広くオーシャンビューだった ・静かだった ・温泉で肌の調子がよくなった気がする ・車ですぐのところにスーパーがあった 【悪かった点】 ・かなり施設が古い ・部屋以外は全体的に照明が少なくて暗い ・元々廃墟であろう建物をリノベーションした感がすごい ・チェックイン時間が柔軟ではない(15-18時と記載があったにも関わらず15時くらいまでに来て欲しいと言われた) ・温泉に入れる時間が15-18時とかなり限定的 ・温泉のお湯が出るシャワーが5個のうち1個しかないので順番待ち ・部屋にドライヤーがないのは不便

We stayed at Kaiyu for two nights, with four adults in a larger family room. Two nights, but we could have stayed a lot longer! Kaiyu is a truly remarkable hotel experience, more about that below. We had a wonderful time there! The owner Mitsu intends to encourage guests to stay for a longer time, rather than one or two nights, and we can very much recommend that. The location is great, all rooms with unhindered views of the shore and one of Shikoku’s most beautiful beaches. It is a perfect location to explore the south-western part of Shikoku, very close to the amazing rocky cliffs of the cape. Kaiyu is a very special place, remarkable due to the building itself and the optimism and energy of its owners / the hosts. Three of the four of us are architects, and we were amazed and stunned by the tasteful and charming atmosphere both inside the rooms and the lobby. Every room is different, renovated and designed by the owner himself. While of course stylish, Kaiyu is not a standard design hotel, but a class of its own. Housed inside an old concrete structure, the DIY elements are constantly working with and against the slightly brutalist 1970’s building. The well thought-through additions, handmade by owner Mitsu, create a special warm and personal atmosphere that needs to be experienced. And then there is the energetic center of Kaiyu, the owner couple. With their warmth and optimism they create a feeling of staying at someone’s house, even though the size of the rooms and public spaces is that of a hotel. Things that seemed quirky to us at first when reading the Airbnb description all made sense after our arrival. Yes there are no towels (they can be rented though), but the two owners run the place all by themselves and they run it well. No towels means less wasted water, energy, work. The proposed dinner on the first night is something that can be very much recommended. We did not quite know what we should expect, but like in every good family home the dinner was the heart and core of our stay at Kaiyu. The owner Mitsu with his outgoing and respectful personality created a relaxed atmosphere with all guests sitting around a big table, eating together with the hosts. Something that could have been quirky turned out to be a tasteful and delicious social event, one of the most memorable experiences we had during our stay in Shikoku. There is an onsen as well, inside a new building that was added to the existing structure a decade or so ago. We had a wonderful time and can recommend a stay be it shorter or longer for remote working, there’s plenty of space both inside the rooms and in the public areas.

本当に素敵な場所です。 アットホームな空間、美しい景色や自然、暖かいコミュニケーション… 部屋も文句の付け所がないくらい素晴らしいです。家族や子連れで気兼ねなく宿泊できるのも魅力だと思います。 時間が許すなら連泊を。 そして何より夕食は是非こちらで頂くことをオススメします！その日の宿泊者と囲む大皿料理は絶品かつ、本当にかけがえのない出会いや素敵な瞬間を感じることが出来ます。 みっちゃん有難うございました！ また泊まり行きますね！
