The couch is extremely old and has little to no cushion/upholstery is peeling away and uncomfortable. Even though we were fully expecting a rustic cabin experience, several of the amenities (towels, blankets, bedding, kitchenware) need to be updated/replaced. Overall we felt safe but the front glass security door would not close correctly/broken hinge and would slam periodically. We had a relaxing weekend but if the inside was more updated/not so grungy, we would have been more at ease.

We arrived and encountered numerous issues. The lane hadn't been plowed, making it difficult to access the cabin. There were no railings on the stairs, posing a safety hazard. The entry wasn't as described - no keypad, just a locked key that was tricky to use. The front porch was cluttered with broken furniture and other broken items. Inside, there was pet hair on the blankets, and none of the lights in the bedrooms or bathrooms worked! So that along with concern about the impending snowstorm and lacking sufficient provisions in the event we get stranded with the lane uncleared, we decided to leave. Despite requesting a refund minus the cleaning fee, we received less than 1/3 of the total cost. Unfortunately, the host was uncooperative and provided poor customer service. Airbnb did issue me a coupon as they agreed the description was not accurate with photos I provided and that impending 12+ inches of snow is not something we can control thus should have been refunded.
