Bussanna Vecchia is a one of a kind place. It’s fairly close to Sanremo but not the easiest place to get to which makes it a unique treasure and a great reward for those who are eager for a little adventure and have a desire to escape the ordinary. Gert, his neighbor Ivana and everyone I met in the town was welcoming, intelligent and interesting! Once you arrive to the Medieval mountaintop town, Gerts place is quite close to the main entrance. The stairs to the house (and the streets) are original but navigable with care. The house is beautifully restored, well maintained, comfortable and has everything that is needed. The terrace overlooks the town, the local countryside and the sea. The bed was comfortable and the sounds of the frogs singing in the evening and the stars at night were a delight. The terrace has a partial roof so that the view can be enjoyed rain or shine and the living room has a woodstove and a large table for sharing meals to bring warmth to a cold night.

Gert’s house is a beautiful oasis in the truly magical setting of Bussana-Vecchia. Ivana and Gert were both friendly and welcoming. We would love to have a chance to stay there again someday!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Bussana Vecchia! Die Terrasse mit dem Meerblick ist ein Traum! Die Betten sind sehr bequem und die Wohnung wirklich super sauber. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, uns hat nichts gefehlt. Die Kommunikation mit Gert und auch Ivana war perfekt. Uns wurde immer sofort geholfen. Gert antwortet allumfassend und schnell auf Fragen. Ivana, mit der wir vor Ort persönlich in Kontakt waren, war immer ansprechbar, super sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Der Ort Busana Vecchia ist auch wirklich sehr schön. Wir empfehlen, vor der Anreise Gerts Website zu besuchen und sich über den Ort zwecks Anreise/Parken/Mobilität zu informieren. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Four of us stayed at Gerts lovely home in an ancient city we had everything we needed kitchen well-stocked there’s a beautiful sea view from the upstairs patio where we hung out a lot we enjoyed our stay tremendously. It’s well located to the Italian countryside. Better to have a car…. parking is limited but we had a small car and could find parking every day. Definitely need to do steps. As stairways are throughout the location, check in went smoothly. Gert had the next-door neighbor meet us and she was very nice to help us check in. There are a couple really nice restaurants close by we went to in the evenings great food great atmosphere what a special location in this ancient town we were very charmed by it. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience!

Bussana Vecchia is a very peculiar Place, Gerts house is super central, it has everything you possibly need for your stay. Check-in went smooth, Ivana the neighbor showed us everything in the house. Splendid terrace were we enjoyed our meals looking towards the sea. Quiet place. Mosquito nets at every bed, two bathrooms, fridge, oven, fans, beach umbrella…. Everything is there:-)! We recommend the experience!
