Nadija and Petar were amazing hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They were so kind and helpful. The villa was absolutely perfect for our family holiday and in a beautiful location. The pool and private beach were an amazing addition to a wonderful stay. We couldn’t recommend this place more!

The most wonderful week in Potirna at Nadija’s place. Nadija and Petar were helpful, welcoming and responsive beforehand and throughout our stay. We arrived after dark and they came to meet us and had left us with fruit, water, beer and more. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed, even extra things like mosquito coils, barbecue coals, washing powder etc. Photos and descriptions could not do enough to describe the beautiful surroundings and the pristine waters which were accessible directly from the beautiful gardens. Many outside seating and eating areas. We did not want to leave and are already planning our return. Thank you for the most wonderful week, Nadija and Petar!

Nadija's home was a wonderful escape to a beautiful country for our family. We traveled with 7 adults (parents, 2 adult children, aunt and a family friend couple). Communication with the host was top notch prior to and during our visit and they offered to go above and beyond. They were incredibly kind and helpful, including making sure our parking ticket we received in Vela Luka was paid properly :). After spending almost 2 weeks in Germany and France where there was no air conditioning during a heat wave, it was heaven to come to Nadija's home and take advantage of their air units and pool! The kitchen was nicely stocked with cookware and we used the larger fridge for food and the smaller one for drinks. The outdoor spaces were absolutely fantastic and exactly why I chose this home. We have zero negative reviews, but would offer some suggestions to visitors unfamiliar with Croatia or Korcula that I was unaware of even after reading reviews. *The upstairs unit is only accessible via the street. I knew that it was separate from the lower unit, but I wasn't expecting to go up a public walkway and onto the street every time I was going between the two. It truly wasn't a big deal for us at all, but I would want to know that if I was traveling with children. There also isn't a "Living Room" space in either unit. The upstairs has a couch against a wall with a small fridge, but the pool table takes up most of the space. The lower unit has only a kitchen and large dining table as the shared space. Again, the indoor utilized space was not a priority for me and the space served us perfectly well! *Make sure you bring water bottles. I left mine on the airplane and it was incredibly difficult finding one to replace it. The only thing I could find was a glass one. I suggest also bringing a covered cup of some sort or something collapsable or silicone cup. There is only glass at the house and when spending a lot of time on the patio, in the pool or down by the water, glass will break. *There are cicada's :) And they are constant and loud from about 6am until 5:30pm (end of July/beginning Aug). We didn't find it a problem and acclimated to the sound. However, I would be concerned with neurodivergent individuals who are hypersensitive to sounds. *Roads are very narrow. Rent a SMALL vehicle if you don't want to sweat, increase your heart rate or have mini panic attacks. *There is nothing within 8km of the home (other than more homes). You will have to drive to go to stores, restaurants, etc. Taxi's are expensive and although we searched and searched for local water taxi's, we were not able to find them (would be a great business if you're looking to relocate). *larger vehicles are a challenge to park on the property. We had a Mercedes 8 passenger van that we had to park up the hill on the side of the road, due to the difficulty of getting it into the parking pad. We did park it there two of the nights, but our front end was sticking out and we placed a caution sign/tape that came with our vehicle on the front corner. *The fast ferry to Dubrovnik leaves no earlier than 7am. Plan accordingly. Because our flight left at 10am, taking the fast ferry was not an option for us on our return home. Therefore we had no choice, but to rent a car at the airport and take the car ferry to/from Orebic. Coming from Orebic, you are likely to end up in a line on a narrow street. Make sure you get out of your vehicle and walk to purchase your tickets!! You will NOT get an opportunity to do so once you get closer. The car ferry tickets cannot be purchased in advance because it's first come/first served when loading. *If you can stop at the grocery in Orebic or right in Korcula town, do so! Vela Luka is limited for fresh fruits, veggies, meats and fish. *The Dubrovnik airport is a breeze. No need to arrive 2-3 hours early. Also, if you don't plan on spending any time in Dubrovnik itself, I'd probably fly into Split, as your car ferry options and other ferry options are better. *Rent a boat, drink the wine, eat the local foods and thank the residents for sharing their beautiful homes. They offer us a paradise that the rest of the world is just beginning to learn about. Unending gratitude to Nadija and her family for their generosity. I highly recommend staying in their home.

We spent an idyllic week at Nadija’s place, July 2022 - a comfortable and well-equipped house with really lovely gardens, places to eat and relax and of course the pool. There’s also direct private access to the sea shore, just yards away. Bring your snorkels, goggles, paddle boards etc - the clear blue Adriatic is perfect for this, and access is easy. It’s a rocky shore with numerous jetties into the sea for access - ideal for those who can swim. The house was easy to find with directions and apple maps - we arrived on Korcula by car on the Split - Vela Luka ferry, and it’s only a 10-15 minute drive from Vela Luka. That will also be your main local place for food / shopping. In the July sun, we spent most of the week relaxing in and around the house and gardens. It’s especially beautiful in the evenings as the sun slants through the pine trees, and there’s usually a sea breeze in the afternoon. Most evenings, we used the outdoor coal barbecue, which comes ready and equipped. We went to Korcula town for the day (parking at the shopping centre just outside the old walled town), and then onto the beaches and vineyards at Lumbarda for a look and a swim. It’s a tranquil, quite quiet island, especially at the Vela Luka end, a world away from the very busy seafront / nightlife at Split. As others have noted, the house is divided into a separate upstairs and downstairs - no problem for us with two daughters aged 19 and 16, but the layout is a little unusual. The air conditioning is excellent, with machines in most rooms including bedrooms. Very lucky to have the opportunity to visit Korcula and stay in this place - thank you!
