The house is a part of a larger building, connected to the castle, where the family leaves. There are different appartments. All of them with a part of the garden in exclusivity, thats connected to the common garden space, with a pool (we did not use it as it was winter time), and a voleyball court. The property is on one edge of the village which is perfect because you are in the middle of the nature, but you can walk to the center in 10 minutes and buy bread or something else at the “epicerie”, or go to the only restaurant or get a pizza and eat it at home. That’s all you’ll find in the village at a walking distance. In the next village (10 minutes drive), there are larger commercial spaces were you can find everything you need. The location of the house is perfect to visit many different things depending on how long you are staying: the Canal du Midi, the Catar castles and Abbeys, the Sigean safary park, the coast and cities like Carcassonne. We stayed during one week, and that’s what we did. It was a perfect stay during Easter.

The chateau de la Motte is located in a very beautifull area close to Narbonne. You are not going to stay in the chateau but beside it in some smaller houses nearby. The place is quiet and nice with olive trees and some lovely landscape nearby. The weather was quite good but we ll definitly come back to enjoy the pool. Thanks Kristina

A beautifully presented cottage, very homely and welcoming. The kitchen was well equipped, I was especially pleased to see large serving dishes available! Being offered fresh herbs from the gardens was a delicious surprise. The kids loved the pool and chilling out in the garden. We also enjoyed playing table tennis and fussball in the shaded games area. Kristina is the perfect hostess, there when you need her but never intrusive. Wonderful yoga teacher also. We spent a very happy week here, and would definitely stay again if we visit the area another time.

Nous avons adoré la maison du Figuier pour une rencontre de famille c'est un site exceptionnel. Ce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié c'est d'avoir tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner, la piscine très bien entretenu, le jardin et la cour extérieur pour manger en toute quietude. merci à nos hôtes
