Highly recommend!!! This cottage is way beyond our expectation. We planned to stay in Florence for 4 days and 3 nights, but when we saw the cottage in first sight, we regretted immediately, we wish we could stay for longer. The cottage belongs to Lela, Paola’s mother who is over 80 years old, it is amazing that she manages the entire cottage so well. Lela is a lovely, kind, shy and thoughtful lady. When we did the check-in, she explained all the details to us and always be supportive to us when we need some help on traffic, cooking and washing. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful flowers and pines, the view is fantastic and like living in a fairy tale. When you climb up a little higher in the back yard of the house, you will have a panoramic view of the hill. The swimming pool is big and clean, our child swam every morning and evening. The water is not cold at all with solar power. They even prepare the balls, water chair and other swimming stuffs In case. Also they have tennis court! There was another family in the third block when we lived there, however, it did not bother and impact to each other at all. Lela’s husband tests the water of the swimming pool every morning to make sure the water quality is qualified. The cottage is equipped are very well with kitchen stuffs and washing room. Every morning we had breakfast in the garden of the house, enjoyed the green fresh air. This is the wonderful place you can ever imagine and if you want to have a reflex, quite and fresh weekend or trip stay, this is the best choice. We want to give it ten stars!

Casa Paola is a gem. Absolutely gorgeous setting and views. It’s quite a hike back from town but the pool welcomes you after the climb. The bus into Florence was easy and convenient. Nella is a warm and helpful host. We will come again!

We waren twee uur eerder aanwezig dan de inchecktijd, maar dit was geen probleem, we konden direct het huisje in. Hele mooie locatie en geweldig uitzicht vanaf het zwembad. Paola spreekt zeer goed Engels. De gehele familie (ouders, zussen, neven en nichten) was aanwezig en iedereen was even behulpzaam en tegelijkertijd heb je wel voldoende privacy. Een echte aanrader en wellicht dat we in de toekomst dit mooie vakantieadres nogmaals bezoeken. Enige punt van verbetering is de hygiëne van het zwembad. Water op zich is schoon, alleen aan het einde van de week waren er veel takken en bladeren op het wateroppervlak. Voor de rest alleen maar complimenten!

We had a wonderful stay at Paola's villa. We received a warm welcome and there was always someone nearby if we needed anything. We came home one day to find a bowl of delicious tomatoes from the garden waiting for us on the step. The grounds are beautiful, huge pool, very peaceful. It's set up on a hilltop so a car would be advisable. It took us about 15 minutes to drive in to Florence. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Grassina and would definitely go back.
