自我介绍

Brian and Erica met and fell in love in our rooftop pool at Union Square, an old high school turned into modern urban condominiums. We got married 11 years ago and together we have 4 grown kids and 3 baby grands. We are passionate about our community and think part of our life purpose is about giving back. We decided to do Airbnb as a way to share our unique experience of living in an old high school, while raising money for nonprofit organizations we think are making the world a better place for children, youth, and families in our community. This means 25% of everything we earn through Airbnb gets donated to a local charity of the quarter. During the winter, funds were donated to programs that help homeless youth and families find stable and permanent housing, In the spring, funds were donated to Challenge Scholars, an initiative that will guarantee a college scholarship for every child that resides in our neighborhood! Last summer, funds supported organizations during covid that provided digital supports to kids to prevent summer learning loss. In the fall, funds went to support Covid relief efforts for families experiencing food insecurity due to lost income. We are very involved in our community civically. Both of us are Certified Tourism Ambassadors for Grand Rapids so we can give you lots of great recommendations for places to eat, drink or experience our local culture.
