I love the pool. Its hours of operation during my 2022 stay were nearly perfect for allowing me to do an hour per day of lap swimming for exercise, while not resulting in my burning up from too much sun exposure as a consequence. The pool water chlorine was well maintained at very comfortable levels. Did not get a single sore throat. This doesn't always happen where my needs in all these regards are so well met by a community pool. Strict French bathing hygene, attire, and behavior rules for community swimming pools are enforced - suggest you do web research first. I favor enforcement of these rules for reasons of personal health, hygene, comfort, and safety. The local area supports hiking activities with several nice trails. I used a iOS app named komoot. The hike I completed was called Pont - La Brague Loop from Valbonne. It took me 5 hours to travel 10 miles (16 km) due to my frequent wrong trail choices off a number of branches, where the mapping resolution of my app was not really good enough, and due to my fitness struggles in the seasonal heat and humidity hiking to and returning from the trail. A second hike on this trail would probably only involve 2 1/2 hours and 5 miles (8 km) due to my lessons-learned. The heat and humidity were punishing especially this year during these months while hiking to and from the apartment to meet up with the trail. The forest itself was as described online, a pleasantly cool relatively dense canopy of trees next to a wide free running stream of cool water. Beware this heat. Elevation changes are moderately trying. Do enjoy the trails here. I decided not to attempt two other trails that looked attractive. Maybe in cooler months I would/will try them ! Hiking has been one of my choice exercise activities for years, and in cooler weather this location might just be perfect for my goals. The area generally has flat in addition to inclined grades to a degree that heat and humidity when high might discourage being out and about on foot after 09h30. I stayed here during July and August, which are considered high season at locations nearer to the popular areas of Saint-Tropez or Cannes for instance to name only two. The rental rate here made sense to me in this context, as an economic alternative possibility to allow me some exercise options. There are of course some trade-offs as with everything in life. I would consider requesting a another reservation here. For now I am still in a mode of sampling many different areas of France. Finallly, the host was exceptionally accomodating to my booking requests and communications needs regarding the apartment. You will need to have your own personal internet connection as the listing states. I used Orange Airbox, which is portable with monthly pre-paid service. There is an Orange Boutique at 80 minutes walking distant in Antibes. A well supplied small grocery store is about 7 minutes walking distance with some inclined grades. It served all my grocery shopping needs.
