Our experience at this property left much to be desired. Despite the promise of a balcony room during the booking process, we were allocated a first-floor room without one. When we raised our concern, the response from the staff was disappointingly arrogant, asking us to leave. The ground floor rooms were notably small, and even in the balcony, only one person could comfortably sit.  First-floor room has more space but we had to contend with an unpleasant odor emanating from the bathroom. During breakfast, we encountered a hygiene issue when finding an ant in our food. Despite bringing it to the staff's attention, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the matter. Overall, the discrepancy between promised accommodations and the actual experience, coupled with unprofessional handling of concerns, made our stay less than satisfactory A home converted into hotel with multiple smaller room

The room has a nice balcony with wiev. We had a good breakfast. The family was very helpfull. Bathroom could be cleaner. By walk you couldn't reach the tee plantation or any restaurant, you need to take a car .

Philip und seine Familie sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich habe im Vorfeld häufiger das Datum gewechselt und sie waren sehr flexibel. Meiner Tochter schmeckte das Frühstück nicht, daraufhin bekam sie direkt etwas anderes zubereitet. Sie ließen mich auch wissen, dass sie einer größeren Gruppe abgesagt haben, damit wir unsere Ruhe haben - ich reiste mit Baby. Das war sehr rücksichtsvoll. Leider war die Unterkunft nicht sehr sauber und auch nach der Bitte einer Nachbesserung wurde nicht ordentlich gereinigt. Das Badezimmer und die Küche waren leider auch nicht sauber.

We spent a nice 3 nights here, waking each morning to the dreamy songs of the Malabar whistling thrush. The room is in Philip’s secluded and quiet third-generation cardamom plantation estate house. It’s a walkable 200m from 2nd Mile Junction (15min to Munnar town by tuktuk or hailing a bus), where there is not much to do but with some OK eateries and with a fabulous place to have some coffee/tea at the Pink “the bus” Cafe. We arrived after dark and didn’t quite know the exact location, but it was easy enough to find after we called Philip and he described the way. (The entrance gate is across the Federal Bank ATM.) We’d initially been assigned the downstairs room with private balcony, but asked to move to the much brighter room upstairs with big windows on two sides with nice views. The room was clean and the bathroom clean enough. We enjoyed the nice complimentary breakfast on the shared terrace, which doesn’t have much of a view but was still nice.

Philip et sa famille sont très sympathiques ! Malheureusement, il y avait d'autres locataires qui étaient bruyants et la salle de bains n'était pas très propre. Le petit déjeuner et le souper était très bons et copieux.
