Perfect house, high quality, perfect quiet area, beautiful surroundings. Very nice pool, close to a town for groceries. And I would highly recommend to book the cook!

The villa is very beautiful. We really enjoyed the well-kept outside area with a large garden, eating area and pool and the house and barn makes for really spacious accomodation. Perfect for a large family/extended family vacation. Easy access by car and with lots of room for parking. The only downside to our experience was the mold problem on the first floor of the house. Luckily the weather was nice so that we could spend most of our timeoutside as it would not have been possible to spend extended periods of time inside in the living area in the house. The second floor where the bedrooms are located did not seem to be affected, neither did the barn. This problem needs to be fixed. The villa is located in a quiet and privat area with an amazing view of the hillside/valley below. The charming little town of Vergato is only a 5 minute drive away and have all the amenities you would need. Easy access by train to larger cities like Bologna or Firenze.

Lovely home in the countryside. It was difficult to find, so I'd suggest meeting Angela in town and follow her for check-in. Great sunset views and huge pool. Perfect for our week long family vacation.

We very much enjoyed our 2 week stay at Villa Ruspiano. The house and barn were most comfortable and fully equipped with all a family might need on holiday. Set in a beautiful hilltop location it has views to die for. The management lady Angela was most welcoming and the gardeners were regularly present to keep the grounds and pool tidy and neat for us. Vergato (the nearby town) is only a few minutes drive away with access to plenty of supermarkets, which was very handy for us as we prefered to cook at home as opposed to eating out during the Covid period. We enjoyed countless alfresco dinners and barbecues at the garden and after a while, we even got used to the bugs and mosquitos buzzing around us in abundance. Citronella candles were indeed our saviours on those outdoor dining evenings. A sighting of a couple of tiny snakes, a scorpion, deers, wild rabbits and many colourful lizards brought much excitement to the children. On occasion or two we heard a wild boar squealing somewhere in the distance up the hills. It was ever so exciting and fun. The poolside was a perfect location to early morning yoga looking at the peaceful and impressive mountains ahead, while the bendy roads down the hills were a treat during my evening runs. As the villa's location was perfect for visiting nearby major cities and attractions, we indulged on road trips to Bologna, Florence, Pisa, Venice and several beaches. The outstanding nature on route the above destination will not be forgotten in a rush. It was a beautiful trip at a lovely villa and we would strongly recommend it to all nature lovers, foodies and cultural explorers. Thank you!
