We loved this place and would return. The salt water pool is the highlight, as is Thanyanan’s personality and the garden she cares for. The beach is close, and some days it’s calm enough to swim, but it’s a great transit route to many restaurants/cafes you’ll find on the highway. We stayed two weeks, if you stay at the monthly discounted rate you pay for water and hydro separately. Note that massage is closed. If bikes are needed, you should message Thanyanan before booking to ensure there are some available (she has lots but due to the pandemic closure the bikes need maintenance and she needs to organize it). We heard from others that she arranges seamless scooter rentals. She checked cars for us but we decided to just make use of the bikes, which got us everywhere we wanted. If you choose to walk only (keep in mind it’s hot!), you will have ~10 good restaurants within ~60 mins walking (beach route preferred!). We were picked up and dropped off in Khanom. Incredible place to stay right by the ocean! Thanyanan had free bike rentals which was great. So quiet and peaceful with beautiful beaches right outside your doorstep. Cannot wait to come back here.

Hi travellers, My 1 month trip to Thailand included a 3 night stay in Khanom, which was on my list of must do visits being advertised on the Internet as the unspoilt beauty of Thailand. The rest of my trip so far was spent in hostels but I decided that in Khanom I would find a room to myself. On arriving in Khanom from Surat Thani I was dropped at the market area. I called Thanyanan for advice on how best to get to property as no grab service in Khanom. She told me to stay where I was and she came straight away to collect me. On arrival I was delighted at all facilities seating areas in shade, outdoor pool and the room was amazing. Large bed, air con, large fridge in room, TV, ensuite bathroom and double lockable wardrobe. First impressions.. Exceptionally clean, new, modern but homely feel and very happy. Thanyanan was an exceptional host throughout my stay. I wanted to do the pink dolphin tour with Mr Lee, who is actually Mr Daeng., and she arranged that once I had settled on arrival for the following day. She also offered to drive me to ferry port on day I was leaving to reduce the cost of what taxi charges. Each morning she checked on all her guests to see if they needed anything and gave me repleshiments of coffee, tea and water. Towels are provided for shower and beach. It was Valentines day during my stay and in morning there was a card and a beautiful plate of mango and sticky rice left for me on waking. Such a beautiful touch for all staying there. She could arrange anything for you, you just have to ask. Each unit has its own outside drier to dry your clothes daily. The pool is wonderfully clean and such a delight to step. There are sun longers by the pool. There are several seating areas in the shade to relax and chill out and 2 cute swings to pass the time. Ban Thanyanan rooms are so close to the superb 9 km beach of Khanom. You just cross the road and walk 2 min and your in the middle of the 9km stretch. I walked the beach both days and passed only 2 couples on my first day and 1 the other. If I had not been meeting someone elsewhere I would have definitely extended my stay here. It was perfectly located with a beautiful beach on doorstep and near to town to explore. Thanyanan has bikes you can use for free but she can also arrange scooter hire. Either of these is an essential to explore and get around, although I managed without either in my 3 night stay. My stay here was superb and I will definitely stay again when I return to Khanom for a longer stay.

Host was super nice and accommodating. Was quick to arrange motorbike rentals and would bring fruit and thoughtful treats. I’ve traveled and used airbnb many times over the years and would recommend this stay easily. Short walk to quiet beach and nice restaurants.
