Sophie could not have been any more welcoming. We immediately felt right at home. In terms of amenities, she really has thought of everything. The flat is perfectly located along Olhao’s main thoroughfare - close to restaurants, the market and the ferry terminal for access to the islands. Of particular note is the flat’s view over the salinas, which was breathtaking. We were greeted by pink flamingos, storks stilts and avocets in the morning and treated to spectacular sunsets in the evening. We look forward to returning in the autumn for birdwatching. This beautiful apartment is spacious, comfortable and well maintained with all amenities and a wonderful view over the Ria Formosa. It has easy access to the market and centre of town, via a ten minute walk. Sophia is an excellent communicator and made us feel very welcome. We are very grateful for a lovely stay. We had a perfect holiday for some sunshine and exploring the Islands. Sophia's apartment is second to none in terms of thoughtful touches throughout. Fantastic local information and recommendations made our stay so smooth. Apartment is homely and comfortable and full of everything you need. Towels for the pool, parasol and cool box to take on day trips, mosquito spray in the bathroom and even sun cream. She has thought of everything and it was the perfect place to use as our base. We went to Armona, Culatra, Farol and Tavira plus a walk round the nature reserve 2.5km outside of Olhao. Great spots to eat in the town and the market is excellent! Thank you Sophia and Wim for an unforgettable stay.
Sophia was great , good handover, very helpful , lots of information in the book and when our flight was cancelled she arranged a local taxi company to come to the airport and pick us up back to the apartment, absolute life saver , thank you!,
