Wunderschöne Wohnung, traumhafter Ausblick, ruhige Umgebung.

Jean-Pierre and Hélène’s Provençal retreat was a truly magical setting for our two-week Christmas break in 2021. The location was ideal for us: remote, quiet, and with splendid views. It would have been perfect with a boulangerie nearby, but Apt was close enough to stock up on supplies, both at the colourful weekly market and the numerous shops and supermarkets. Things may liven up during the summer, but we saw and heard little of the neighbours during our stay. There is a wealth of things to see and do, all within an hour’s drive. The accommodation is cosy and stylishly decorated with antiques and works of art, including our host’s own mosaic tables and wall panels. The comfortable living room chairs are worth a mention and we spent our evenings in front of a makeshift “fire” provided by candles. We’re keen cooks and would have preferred a larger oven, but the combi-microwave and two electric hobs enabled us to cook all of our evening meals. We appreciated the dishwasher, washing machine, and coffee maker, all of which made our stay a pleasant one. The bathroom and shower were fine, but the real luxury is the roll top bathtub in the bedroom upstairs, which is accessible by a set of tightly spiralled steps that might thwart less mobile guests. The bedroom is the real star of this place and I dreamed for months about *that view* that is pictured on the AirBnB listing. The view did not disappoint. In fact, it provided an ever-changing panorama of misty mornings, blazing sunsets, and starry nights, all viewable from the comfortable bed. An added bonus was the small terrace, where we sat with drinks and welcomed in the New Year with fireworks on the horizon. The night-time sky is probably the clearest and most star-filled we have ever seen, and holiday star gazing is a hobby of ours. We did make use of the sauna, which was lovely after a long, cold day of sightseeing, though it’s probably not a draw for summer visitors. Although we never met our hosts, they were friendly and quick to respond to all communications before and during our stay. I have already recommended their place to friends and would stay here again in a heartbeat if visiting the area again.

A great place to stay whilst exploring this wonderful region. Watching the sunset from the bedroom or terrace each night was beautiful. Check-in was very easy and Caroline, Jean Pierre & Hélène were very accommodating and helpful. We had a superb meal at the restaurant a couple of minutes’ walk away - Le Sanglier Paresseux. Highly recommend!

Logement stylisé, décoré avec beaucoup de goût et de caractère. Un havre de paix dans ce village perché à 800 m d'altitude, avec une terrasse privative qui offre une vue imprenable. Très bien accueillis par Jean-Pierre et Hélène qui ont pris le temps de nous faire découvrir leur univers. Tout est à proximité pour visiter les essentiels. Séjour inoubliable !

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in dem kleinen Bergdörfchen Caseneuve. Helene und Jean Pierre haben uns herzlich empfangen und waren sehr hilfsbereite, freundliche Gastgeber. Die Wohnung ist ein Traum für alle, die es ruhig und gemütlich haben möchten und die Nähe zur Natur schätzen. Auf der Terasse kann man bei wunderschöner Aussicht die Sonne genießen. In der Umgebung gibt es sehr gute Restaurants, die sehr zu empfehlen sind (La Pastorale; Le Sanglier Paresseux).
