A true experience that goes far beyond what the photos show. The place - the Chapelle is a minimalist and beautifully designed haven in a hilltop chapel. Spend a day at the pool that has glorious views on the most beautiful scenery and landscape of all of Luberon, cook up a beautiful meal in the gourmet kitchen after buying some fresh produce from the local market (the kitchen has everything needed for an experienced chef and beyond), and get some restful sleep in a very comfortable bed (always very important). The chapelle is spotless clean and offers everything that is needed for a restful vacation. The village - better than a film set ;) a perfect example of a Provence village with all of its charm. Chez Christine has great morning pastries (and some quiches, bread and other goods). Parking is not an issue with plentiful options around - just a short walk from the Chapelle. The area - the village is located in a perfect spot - half an hour or less to most of Luberon’s key attractions and other villages (e.g. Lourmarin, Gordes, Ménerbes, La Coste, etc.). In addition, Apt is very close by for all necessities (supermarkets, etc.) We can’t wait to go back!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at La Chapelle in July. The Chapel and the grounds are beautifully restored, and you can recognize the amount of work that went into creating the extraordinary property. The combination of the West House and La Chapelle was the perfect size for our family of five (and our dog). The two homes offer many different terraces and sitting areas, so we could move around the property throughout the day to get sun or shade at all times. The upper pool is beautiful (the pictures do not do it justice!), and the views of the valley are spectacular throughout the property, especially at sunset. The inside of La Chapelle and the West House stayed very cool and pleasant throughout the day, despite the July heat outside. There are some sharp drops around the terraces and pools, so it’s important to be diligent on where you step. We found the kitchen well equipped and enjoyed cooking with the windows open with a view of the valley. We made frequent use of the wood-fired pizza oven: spending a few hours outside making homemade pizza together was a wonderful way to spend an evening. Saignon itself is a beautiful, small village. We found the small size and close-knit community very relaxing, and it felt more authentic than some of the larger towns in Provence geared towards day-trip tourism. We loved how close Saignon was to all the area has to offer, and Michele was very helpful pointing us to the best markets and shops to go to. As avid bikers and runners, we also loved the easy access to beautiful biking/running trails that connect Saignon to the nearby villages. Michele, Adrian, and Ben were very communicative and promptly responded to all our requests. As Michele and Adrian noted before we arrived, parking near the property can be a bit tight in a large car, so we ended up parking in the main lot about 350m from the house, which can be important to keep in mind if you plan to do a lot of grocery trips. Having a great bakery in Saignon (2 min walk from La Chapelle) was very helpful as we could pick up delicious croissants, bread, juice, pastries, in the morning without taking out the car. The welcome booklet that Michele shared prior to arrival was very thorough in laying out the property and nearby attractions. We had a wonderful trip, and would highly recommend La Chapelle to anyone looking for an extraordinary home in the Luberon. Thank you Michele, Adrian, and Ben!

Wir waren das zweite Mal Gäste von Michele und Adrian in ihrer Kapelle. Es ist eine sehr besondere Unterkunft, sehr stilvoll renoviert voller Charme. Wir konnten unseren Aufenthalt als Familie zu viert sehr genießen mit gemeinsamen Kochen, beim Pizzaofen anheizen und Pizzabäcker spielen, beim relaxen am neuen Pool mit dem wahrscheinlich schönsten Ausblick der Provence, beim Schallplatten hören in der Kapelle mit einer tollen Akustik ............. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen!

This Chapelle is unique and beautiful in every way: the lovely buiding, the terrasses, the new rooftop swimming pool and of course the swimmingpool on one of the lower terrasses. The views are fantastic and I also loved the bathtub under the round bedroom window!
