Summary: Superb experience! Maria's place is wonderful, situated in the centre of Agios Germanos, a lovely mountain village nestled above the Prespa Lakes. The property is located next to a little stream and one minute walk to the local Taverna. Maria and Thanos are perfect hosts, we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. Once you walk through the gate into their courtyard, you find yourself in a quiet little oasis with a panoramic view on the surrounding mountains. The accommodation was lovely, a main apartment split onto two levels, spotlessly clean with everything you need plus some welcome gifts. Other breakout spaces on the property were also available to use, e.g. an outdoor kitchen and dining area and lounge room supplied with drinks. We had breakfast on the lawn every day and Maria makes delicious local savoury pies and cakes. They also have an organic vegetable garden behind the main property where they grow just about anything you can think of. We were invited to fill a basket with aubergine, spring onion, courgettes, beans, potatoes, beetroot, cucumber, tomatoes ... The Prespa Lakes area is a paradise for nature lovers. Bird watching, hiking, boat tours on the Great Prespa Lake, or just a picnic next to one of the little streams. All this in a spectacular landscape of a tranquility that has become so rare in our days... And the nights are fresh, even in the hot Greek summer, so good sleep is guaranteed! If you want to reset and reconnect with nature, this is the place to be.

Ενας φανταστικός προορισμός για τους λατρεις της φυσης, της ιστοριας αλλα και της καλης μαγειρικης. Είτε ως μια γρηγορη έξοδος από την καθημερινότητα, είτε ως μια εξόρμηση με φίλους, δεν θα μείνετε ανικανοποίητοι από την κιβωτό επ´αυλής. Η φιλοξενία του ζευγαριού είναι απερίγραπτη. Ότι και να γράψω θα είναι λίγο. Φανταστικό ζευγάρι, ατέλειωτες ιστορίες με πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον και καρδιά από χρυσό. Η υγιεινή φαινόταν ως προτεραιότητα από την πρώτη στιγμή σε ότι αντικρίσαμε. Οι χώροι άνετοι και όμορφοι με προσωπικές τους πινελιές να τους κάνουν οικείους και ζεστούς. Ειλικρινά ότι και να σας πω θα είναι λίγο. Σας ευχαριστουμε πολύ για την φιλοξενία και την αγάπη που μας δείξατε. Δομνα - Ορεστης. Υ.Γ. Όποιος έχει την τύχη να δοκιμάσει την μαγειρική της Μαρούλας, η εμπειρία θα του μείνει αξέχαστη.

I can't recommend this guesthouse and, mostly Maria+Thanos, highly enough! If you care to stay at places that respect tradition, this wonderfully restored, old house by the river is the place to be; if you're lucky enough and find vacancy! Even by the smallest detail, you can tell that Maria+Thanos are passionate for their property and Prespes, they are most kind and just the perfect hosts!

Maria is the most friendly and helpful host I have ever met! Nothing is too much trouble, and her 'starter' pack breakfast is more like a fridge full of goodies, including home-made preserves and bread. The village is lovely with restoration of the traditional houses, great views down the valley to Lake Prespa, and has 2 good restaurants only 2 mins. walk away. The accommodation is very well furnished, comfortable, and the house is quiet. It also has good wifi, and TV.
