Our house is a nice little bed-and-breakfast inn in a calm, sunny valey, the Maltatal. The village Malta and the small picturesque town Gmuend are 3 km away from our house, respectively. The house Winkler is the ideal starting point for walks and hiking tours or a visit of the donkey-farm where children can ride on donkeys, caress lamas, goats, rabbits and a lot of other small animals. An adventure playground nearby at the waterfall or the 'Windel-Wander-Meile' (fairy-tale walk specially for toddlers and kids) will entertain the whole family.
For sportive guests, there are many possiblilities to be active, such as making tours with the bicycle or rollerscates on our nice biking track, or taking a bath in the river 'Malta'. For rainy days we recommend a visit in the new indoor-pool 'Drauperle' with its beautiful wellness area. In wintertime, the three skiing areas Katschberg, Innerkrems und Goldeck can be reached within 20 Minutes by car. Adventurers will love the possibility to go ice-climbing on frozen waterfalls! Motorbike fans will enjoy our region for all its bendy roads (zB Nockalmstraße).

It is best to come to us by car or motorcycle. Public transport (bus) is possible, but the bus comes not very frequent. The next train station is 20km away.
