This was one of the most unique and wonderful Airbnbs I've ever stayed at. Roy was a warm host and was there to welcome me when I arrived in the evening, along with stories from his many travels. There was even fruit and tea laid out, and a playlist of ocean-inspired background music! Only wish I could have stayed for longer; it's a great spot from which to explore the coast and parks in northern CA and southern OR.

Roy is a welcoming host and the boat was a great spot to stay on a trip down the coast. Th stairs are a bit intimidating the first time round, but it’s well worth the payoff to sit in top in the morning and look out over the rooftops drinking coffee.

It was interesting to spend the night on a sailboat, however after acsending up the 15 stairs to an unrailed deck, it was a bit scary for me. Definitely not for an older person who is not used to being on a boat. In addition, there was no bathroom facility on the boat so if you have to get up at night, there was a bucket. Also, no running water. Definitely not the place for an older, unseaworthy guest. Roy was very interesting and told a very lengthy story about the loss of his boats, but that was in Lieu of ensuring a good orientation to the specifics of the boat. I felt like I was held captive to his storytelling needs.
