We came to Lydia's house this year for the second time and again enjoyed it a lot. We walked in and immediately felt home. Wonderful place & house & surrounding!

The house has a lot of charm and the beautiful surroundings in nature really made this trip relaxing. There is a river behind the house and horses in the field next door. There were great restaurants and supermarkets available only a short drive from the house. We had a wonderful stay.

Lydia’s place is beautifully located in the middle of nature surrounded by trees, mountains and fields. The penultimate house on a gravel road. There is a mountain stream passing just behind the house and you can start hikes directly from the house. We very much enjoyed having the house as our base for a week of exploring the national park of Gesäuse and the lakes at accessible driving distance like Gosausee, Grundlsee and Hallstätter See. The house is a typical old country house, which means it has a lot of charm but also some of the downsides of an old building. It is not as practical as a modern house and since we arrived after a rainy period the house smelled damp. However that improved as we stayed in the house and kept windows open. It was very easy to comunicate with Lydia. Also, a neighbour came to check on us the day after our late arrival to make sure everything was in order and check if we had any questions. She had also turned on the heat for us and bought breakfast.
