El lugar es una joya. Tienes privacidad. La laguna y el muelle es espectacular. Te sientes parte de la selva sin dejar la comodidad de un hogar. El único punto a mejorar sería renovar ciertos cuartos. Pero la casa es hermosa. La pasamos increíble.

Super recommended. Construction nearby wast that much of a pain... Space was relatively clean and would 1000% stay here again. Super important: nearest *real* supermarket is 2hrs away at Chetumal, bring EVERYTHING you need for your stay. Service was 10/10, and the property is absolutely breathtaking.

Maya Cala is a great property in an amazing location. It offers many places to relax and enjoy the jungle and lagoon, which is a magical part of Mexico and the world. Sally and the property manager were always helpful and responsive. The property is well equipped and includes kajaks and paddle boards. Unfortunately, the floating island was broken due to recent weather damage. The main kitchen needs updating in our view and we had problems with the oven. Due to limescale build-up the shower in the Nest had to be fixed twice during out stay, but this was quickly fixed by the manager. The spider monkeys were elusive, but we did see many other amazing jungle creatures, such as butterflies, toucans and other amazing birds and a type of fox. All in all, this is an incredible place to stay and to explore the lagoon, nearby archeological sites and Bacalar town, but the property would benefit from some updates and maintenance.
