Comfortable and beautiful first floor two bedroom flat with superb large terrace for romantic al-fresco dining. Surrounded by century-old olive groves, it is conveniently located for cycling, beach-hopping and visiting a wealth of cultural heritage towns. Salt-water infinity swimming pool with toddler pool area. The booking is exclusive to your party and you will not share the property with other guests. Ideal for families with children of all ages. Our charming apartment sits on top of a villa that comprises the original farmhouse from the early 20th century. The modern two-bedroom self-contained apartment comfortably sleeps up to 5 people (4 adults max). The newly refurbished eat-in kitchen opens up to a wonderfully large and romantic terrace with views over our centuries-old olive grove. We can provide cot bed(s) for babies and side protections for toddlers. The terrace has a high fence all around. You will have the pool and gardens to yourself. Take it in with all your senses, immerse yourself in Italian "far ninety" or explore the stunning historic towns, wonderful beaches and nature trails that can easily be accessed form there. The wonderful feeling of swimming in a salt-water infinity pool whilst seeing the olive trees and the amazingly colourful flowers is uniquely refreshing. You might find some home grown fruits and vegetables on the property depending on the season. You are holidaying in a working olive farm and can taste the produce while sitting in the midst of the wonderful trees that yielded this extraordinary "gold". You will miss nothing and the furniture and furnishings are of high standard. The newly refurbished kitchen offers all you need to be comfortable and cook wonderful Italian recipes. If you feel adventurous, our lovely house manager Cristiana will help you with the pizza oven. You also have your own BBQ on the terrace and the wood is free. There is so much for the kids to do that they will not want to leave the property. Take a stroll through the pine garden and discover the fish fountain and the large playground. We have a number of bicycles and ride-ons on the property and our road abodes a cycling trail. During your stay the ground floor apartment will remain closed, the booking is exclusively for you and your guests.

We stayed at Diddy’s for a week with our 2 and 4 year old and had a ball! No one was staying in the apartment downstairs and we felt as if we had an entire resort to ourselves! Everything was immaculate and there were so many fun activities on offer! It was wonderful being able to visit a village in the morning, then come back to the ‘resort’ and swim in the pool, play in the playground, play with the toys, relax on one of the numerous eating spots, ride the bikes through the farm etc etc. Even if there was a large group staying downstairs we still had plenty of our own space upstairs. The lovely Christiana looked after us like we were family, catering to our every need. Our kids are missing her!
We had a great stay, and as described the villa had a whole host of amenities for us and our toddler to enjoy. Everything you could possibly need and more is provided by the host (particularly in terms of the provisions made for families staying with a young child), and we had a wonderful time.

We had a fantastic holidays spent in a place, which is something like upgraded garden of Eden! Villa is placed between 3 - 4 centuries old olive trees and other beautiful trees and bushes. In the garden there are fantastic pool (with separate toddler pool!), children's playground, tennis court (!!!) and other sport's installations. There are garden of various plants, where You can get many vegetables and ingredients to make the dinner special. There are orange, persimmon and other fruit trees, from which You can eat fruits as many as You like (depends on season, of course). Piccinu appartment was cozy and perfect for one family with kids. Appartment has a top quality furniture and household appliances, including coffee machine with "ammunition" for 30 delicious coffee cups! Appartment has a grand terrace with a view to beautiful garden. And You can see distant church tower in nearby town (and sometimes hear distant church bells ringing). The town itself (San Vito dei Normanni) was nice to visit - there aren't crowds of tourists and you can calmly enjoy the charm of little Italian town. The villa itself is placed in the middle of Puglia, so You can easily reach many attractions in the region. To reach closest beach takes only 15 minute drive. We were welcomed very warm by Pamela - big thanks! When we arrived late in the evening and tired of a long journey, there was a bottle of wine, special olive oil made from olives harvested in the villa and delicious pasta and passata! Communication with Alexandra and Pamela were fast and easy. The place is unforgettable! And many thanks to Alexandra for letting us to stay in this beautiful place! Janis and family

The property is ideally located to visit all of Puglia, many historic towns are within 1 hour's drive from the property.
Guests can visit a number of closely located local beaches and cultural and culinary attractions in the heart of Puglia with the ability to reach most of Puglia within 1-2 hours drive. Tip: the locals choose which beaches on the Adriatic or Ionian sea they will visit, depending on the wind!
Puglia is famous for it's cuisine, which has traditionally been very rustic and mediterranean, recently a new culinary culture emerged and many fish restaurants will offer some raw dishes (specialty is the 'gambero rosso di Gallipoli'). Discover local exquisite cuisine & terrific wines.
The property is approximately a 20 minutes drive away from Brindisi airport or 1 hour away from Bari airport. It will take you 15 minutes to drive to the local beaches of Torre Guaceto, Specchiolla or Torre Santa Sabina and many beautiful towns are within easy reach: the world-renowned "white city" of Ostuni and the culinary centre of Ceglie Messapica are just 20 minutes drive away. The amazing villages of the "trulli-shire" area of Valle D'Itria, such as Alberobello, Cisternino and Martina Franca, are also close-by. The remains of the roman city of Egnazia and its interesting museum is also an easy drive away. The historical and culinary treasures of the Bari, Brindisi and Lecce would surely warrant a day trip. Likewise the amazing waters and varied coastline of the Adriatic and Ionian seas, where crystalline waters contrast with either golden sandy beaches or rough and unspoiled rocky spots!
Unless guests plan to spend their stay at the property, for guests arriving by plane or train it is highly recommended to hire a car for the duration of the stay.

Together with my husband, we run a financial consulting firm and other private businesses such as the rental of our villa and the production of our own extra virgin olive oil (Golden Nectar), all under an ethical umbrella, with a view to achieve a positive impact on environment and/or society. This is why we are passionate about promoting the sustainable side of your trip to Diddy's Country, being able to emerge yourself in nature, learn to love the olive grove (feel like an olive oil farmer/producer), taste the produce directly by using the extra-virgin olive oil produced directly from our trees, picking fruits and veggetables grown on the property, learn about the seasonal fruits and veg, learn about the farming. We are also passionate about using local produces ourselves, either food or, as used in our property, artisan produces we use in the house, such as bedsheets, towels, ceramic china, art work. We are also very careful to reclaim furniture from our ancestors wherever possible. We are proud to be the 5th generation to run Diddy's Country, and bringing it "simpathetically" into the 21st century. Try some of the amazing restaurants in the nearby town of San Michele (Il Brigantino for example) or in Brindisi (Siamo Fritti and many more). Try the most amazing mozzarella producer from San Vito (Caseificio Lanzilotti) and the fresh and dried pasta producer (Al Matterello), who uses it's own flower. We love to roam the local artists' quaters (Grottaglie for ceramic art and plates). We set-up Diddy's Country the way we would like it for us, we want you to feel at home, for example I like quality, hence we only use quality products whereever we can. We have two young children and for now we only travel to see the grandparents, before the children we loved to travel further afar to the Caribbean or close to home and discover Italy, Switzerland and the UK. We would like to start to take our children on short trips to Europe, using Airbnb ourselves! We love good food from around the world and I am a passionate cook, combining my knowledge of Swiss/French/German/Italian and English food, adding some elements of Asian food at times (we love Thai food) and letting our children discover all those amazing tastes. We love nature and animals and are hoping to have more time in the future to enjoy Diddy's Country even more. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you and to hopefully transfer some of our enthousiasm to you and your family.
