自我介绍

@liinasteinberg I would describe myself as friendly, communicative, hospitable and organized. Married, mother of 2 children - boy and girl. My experience in tourism/travelling goes back about 20 years when I started to work as a guide in Tallinn during the long (3 months!) summer breaks from high school, later the Tallinn University. I have a B.A. in German and Finnish and a M.A. in conference interpreting (consecutive and simultaneous). I have mainly focused on interpreting since 2004 and used to live abroad for some years because of my work. In 2009 I moved back to Tallinn and now I do both interpreting and guiding as a freelance. I work in English, German and Finnish, but I also speak some Spanish and French. My husband Agur who co-hosts with me can speak some Russian as well. My work gives me the possibility to travel a lot and meet new people from very different cultures. It`s something I`ve always loved. In addition to professional travel I discover new places with my family too. We love cities like London, Berlin and Athens. My personal favorites are also Copenhagen, Granada and Strasbourg. Our favorite country outside of Europe is Oman, in Europe it`s not so easy to choose. Greece, Spain, Denmark... Hiking and canoeing in Estonian nature or abroad are also very close to our hearts. As a guest I prefer a personal approach, not anonymity. And it`s always nice to meet the locals and have a chat about how`s life around there, where to go & what to do. I value cleanliness and privacy and that I get delivered what was promised. I`m rather bad in haggling about prices&terms&conditions and prefer clear fixed beforehand agreements. I`ve always known that when I open my own guest apartment I'd like to take time for my guests in case they wish to ask some questions. It would be nice to share my in-depth knowledge about Tallinn or just exchange about travel experiences etc. As a guest I`ve sometimes missed little things like a hair dryer, city map or bottle opener, so when fitting out my own guest apartment I´ve tried to include as much useful stuff and information as possible.
