Wow! The views were stunning, the beds super comfortable, the apartment was sparkling clean (and I love the no shoes policy!). The pictures were very accurate (but still can’t do justice to the amazing views). The location as stated is down the hill, relatively steep. But for our family, it was less than 5 min to the edge not town. We loved watching the sheep graze down below our balcony, and enjoyed hearing the bells they wore! Yes, the train goes below, but was not an issue whatsoever. Never a concern. Having washer/dryer (in the basement) was invaluable. Wengen is the perfect location for the Lauterbrunnen valley: a simple gondola ride (Mannlichen) from Wengen to Grindelwald (and First and Pfingstegg, etc), or the train up to Kleine Scheidegg and the Jungfraujoch, or the train down the the Valley and the bus or gondola up to Murren or the Schilthorn. Perfect jumping off location. Stunning property in a stunning town! Just loved it!
