It was a joy to stay in the emerald bank cottage in Uldale. A beautiful village and place to stay. A lot of places to visit near by including catbell, keswick, wasdale, thirlmere, raven glass, etc. Not to forget the parading cattles and the birds in the garden. Games for kids in the attic was an addition too. Highly recommend it.

House was clean and very welcoming, host was very responsive and helpful, location was good but area doesn’t have required amenities such as shops and phone signals. All experience was good except the checkout, when a guy showed up introduced himself as an employee / rep, with a very rude and unprofessional attitude. Which was not appropriate under any case.

Host was super responsive and very helpful. Cottage was clean and cosy. Beautiful surroundings and lake district is a pleasure to explore. Nearest supermarket and petrol station are 25min drive away, so plan your shopping as there is not much in the way of local amenities.

Beautiful little cottage that was actually much bigger and spacious inside than what it looked. 4 adults and 3 children who all had ample space. The games room upstairs was a big hit with the kids and we loved the little enclosed patio/garden area. Very peaceful to sit in the sun. Short drive into Keswick which we spent most of our time. The snooty Fox pub just a short walk away was handy. Loved seeing the cows walk past every day. The cottage had everything you needed even included books of local walks. would definately recommend and would happily return.

Such a nice place in a nice, quite little village. Nice enclosed garden, would recommend to anyone for a wonderful, cosy stay.
