Man sollte wissen, dass es in der Gasse sehr laut ist nachts und dass es oben auf der Empore sehr warm zum Schlafen ist. Check-in und Check-out verlaufen anonym, befremdlich war am Ende die Auflistung der zu erledigenden Dinge (eher Selbstverständlichkeiten) in recht resoluter Sprache (Androhung von Strafen)...
Amazing stay in Ortigia! It’s small island so easy to get around, this place is perfectly situated. Close for swimming, drinks, shopping, sightseeing! We had the best holiday in Ortigia, made even better by Roberta’s fantastic recommendations and speedy communication. We didn’t spend much time in the apartment as we were so busy trying to fit in all the great things Ortigia has to offer, but it was perfect for what we needed (especially the balcony). Overall one of the best holidays we’ve had, would recommend Ortigia and Roberta’s place to anyone :)
Ein schönes kleines Maisonette Apartment in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Im die Ecke liegt gleich ein schöner Stadtdtrand zum morgendlichen dippen. Check in verlief reibungslos. Roberta ist proaktiv und gibt viele Tipps. Die Wohnung ist in einem top Zustand und gut ausgestattet. Die Kochnische fällt etwas klein aus, ist aber ausreichend für einige Tage und kleinere Gerichte. Das einzig minim negative war die niedrige Deckenhöhe im Schlafzimmer, wo ich mir einige Male den Kopf an den Holzbalken angeschlagen habe. Insgesamt aber sehr zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage.
We loved our visit to Ortigia! It’s a vibrant place with lots of activity and great restaurants. Roberta’s place was a great location to enjoy the island. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Highly recommended!
5 starts is not enough. The place is absolutely breath-taking. Close to the beach and close to the amazing city center. Roberta sent very clear directions about the apartment and she checked regularly on us making sure that we are comfortable. 3 days was not enough in Ortigia. Highly recommended! Thank you Roberta for making this vacation more memorable.

Only 150 meters away there're cafés, restaurants,a bank,a pharmacy, shops and a tobacco shop .Only 50 meters away there're the Cinema Museum, the Puppet Theater and the Jewish baths.
The Arethusa's fountain is only 200 m away with its famous papyrus.From there you can have a wonderful promenade and observe one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the world. You can also discovery some archaeological sites within walking distance such as the Maniace Castle, the Bellomo Museum, Piazza Archimede, the Navy, the temple of Apollo and much more.
From Syracuse you can easily visit on a daily basis throughout the south -eastern Sicily, the Baroque town of Noto , Palazzolo , the charming beaches of Syracuse, Arenella, Fontane Bianche , Avola and Noto , the beaches of San Lorenzo and the entire Oasis Vendicari up to Porto Palo , extreme eastern tip of Sicily, where the Ionian Sea meets the Mediterranean . You can also visit places like Pantalica and Cava Grande del Cassibile river with wonderful and enchanting lakes . You can make nice excursions on Etna, visit Taormina , Messina, Catania , Agrigento and Ragusa. I also advise you to attend at least one classical theater at the Greek Theater of Syracuse , from 9 May to 22 June , for info and tickets: (URL HIDDEN)
HOW TO REACH MY APARTMENT:
A) I organize TRANSFER SERVICE from/to Catania airport, please ask me if you would reserve it
B) If you come BY CAR I'll send you by mail all info about maps and parking.
To get to Syracuse from Catania airport by car follow the direction A18 Catania-Siracusa motorway , exit Siracusa.
C) If you come by bus or train :
INTERBUS / TRAIN will leave you at the last stop in Siracusa ,at the railway station at Corso Umberto 1. My apartment in Ortigia is 1.8 km away from the railway station.
Take the electric bus and take off FORTE VIGLIENA (1 MINUTE WALKING FROM THE FLAT)
