Five minute walk to Taipei Main Station, the central hub of Taiwan, yet located within a more traditional feeling neighborhood, this place is the perfect mix of culture and convenience. Right across the street from a traditional morning market and the Museum of Contemporary Art, the perfect symbolism of past meeting present. Walk out our door, turn left and just keep heading northwest for 15-20 minutes toward the river and get lost in back alleys with hidden cafes and artsy boutiques. Hop on a ubike and head south for 5-10 minutes to access 228 Peace Park, the Presidential Palace, CKS Memorial Hall, Ximending, and Taipei Botanical Gardens. Walk east for 15 minutes (where I walk my dogs along a green corridor) and find yourself at Huashan Creative Park to check out local and international artists' exhibitions in an old brick winery. For shoppers, Taipei underground mall has all the souvenirs you could want and there are multiple department stores less than 5 minutes walking distance. It doesn't get more convenient than this to explore the city.

As I've mentioned a few times, getting around is a breeze from this location. There's an MRT or a 45-min bus from the airport to Taipei Main Station that drops you off 5 minutes away by foot from our doorstep. Walk 5 minutes and hop on a bus, train, metro car, or high speed rail to efficiently get virtually anywhere on the island.
