We had a wonderful time in Hannibal as a little getaway. The room was beautiful and we loved the historical significance and feel to the whole building! It was loud at night, particularly due to the trains, but Michael provided ear plugs as mitigation. (We had an infant with us so unfortunately the ear plugs weren’t an option for me, but I wasn’t too bothered by the trains anyway.) Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance, and it was great to be in the middle of it all. The only thing missing was a balcony; how sad they didn’t anticipate that need in 1875, haha. We highly recommend this room, and Michael was a fabulously thorough and accessible host. Thank you for the memories!

What a fun stay! Lovely king bed with 7-foot, hand painted headboard. Mark Twain museum across the street. Historic building - Twain once spoke from the front steps. Coffee shop around the corner. Terrific jetted tub for two. Quite a long but handsome curving stairway. Michael was very helpful and available. We're hoping to go again! Thanks, Michael!

This was a perfect and beautiful location in the heart of downtown Hannibal. The room was more beautiful than the pictures. You are within walking distance of shops of all kinds, the historical home of Tom Sawyer, restaurants and bars, and the River boat that has a great dinner cruise to enjoy while watching the sunset on the river.

If you are amazed by the writings of Mark Twain, there is no better place to start than this location. Take a step back in time staying in downtown Hannibal. The experience of exploring Samual Clemans childhood home while being no more then a block or two away from where all the adventures took place from Tom Sawyer to the Mississippi. You feel the excitement with every inch of the room.
