Beautifully renovated cottage with a warm and cozy feel with the natural light adding to the cottages' 'glow'. A great central location with plenty of cafes/restaurants in walking distance and only a 5 minute uber ride down to Brooke St Pier. Liz & Alex were extremely helpful providing plenty of local recommendations and being very responsive to any queries we had. Would highly recommend this stay if you're travelling to Hobart.

I’ve been wanting to stay in this 200 year old barn that was beautifully renovated by architects Liz and Alex since I read about this space in a design magazine many years ago. Built around 1820, it was a livestock barn. It feels luxurious, and the old timber and sandstone is exposed, creating an old world experience that makes staying here unforgettable. One of the coolest features I found are the breathing holes for the livestock that once occupied this space. If you’re traveling to Hobart, I highly recommend staying in this old 1820’s modernized livestock barn that quietly harkens back to a distant chapter of Hobart’s history.

Liz and Alex's place is as described, a beautiful old barn. It has been delightfully renovated, it is quirky, interesting and quite gorgeous. Whilst we really enjoyed the accommodation - we were there for five nights and that was probably a few nights too many - for us. We are of a slightly older demographic and found the stairs to the bedroom in the loft a little difficult, the bathroom - with a great shower, had a very tiny hand basin which was quite impractical. The kitchen was also a little clumsy, there was a washing machine - but no washing powder and there was no dishwasher. This is a lovely place, in a good location, and I would recommend Liz and Alex's place, full of history and interest - but best for a weekend or few days away.
