I used to stay in Nyoman’s place a few years back and despite it being a rather simple dwelling, I loved it for the privacy, brightness and view to the rice paddies from the patio. Unfortunately, my last experience was utterly disappointing due to host’s dishonesty. Upon my arrival, his staff (lovely smiley people, not a bad word about them) try to put me - without any discussion - in a completely different place that didn’t have none of the properties of the place I actually booked and knew. When I pointed to them that that’s not what I booked, at first I was told, that in the place I booked someone already lives… When I asked how’s that possible, they called someone else, who told me there’s some problem with a pool. When I said I don’t mind not using pool, I was told there’s an issue with water… When I insisted on staying in a place that I actually booked and knew because I didn’t like the other, I was promised that I can move there the next day afternoon - while spending night in their other place. The next day afternoon came and…I was put - again, despite previous promise - in a completely different place, that was pretty much falling apart (molding toilet, doors that don’t really lock,…). When I told Nyoman that it’s not what I booked and nothing like what he shows on the Airbnb, he was acting like I’m making a big was for nothing. Well, long story short, there was someone actually living in a place that I booked. I saw their stuff and them hanging on the patio. It’s a common practice that some hosts in Bali either double-book or simply give their place to anyone who offers higher price - typically long-term renters outside Airbnb platform - despite you booking first. I found upsetting that these people were feeding me lies for two days instead of coming forward and being straight. Not trying to sweep their mistake - or rather greediness - under the rug only when I actually arrive and then act like it’s no big deal. If you happen to book and actually stay in the place as advertised, you might have a good time and enjoy it. But for me, the host’s unprofessional attitude is a big fat no for me to support his business in any way in the future.

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with my stay. One day before my arrival I got told the room I made a reservation for was given to monthly renters but later I found out the room was still available on airbnb. They were unclear in their communication about my stay which made my trip feel unpleasant. The other room I got was beautiful (one of the villas) but good to know for people that are scared of insects that anything can come inside since all the walls have openings. It’s also quite far out of the city centre which could have been nice because of the calmness but because of everything that was going on I decided to go to a different airbnb. For the rest the host was very helpful like helping to organise a trip to the city centre or any other requests. Very quick with replying as well. The villa was nice but just not what I had in mind for my trip.

the place is great and the people too. you are not in ubud center but its very interesting to stay there to feel the nature and the really ubud try to have some more time to hangout and refresh your energy!! you can find also great "warung" near there .i would stay there again for sure

We where happy to stay at Nyomans house. Nyoman was sencire and very helpfull We stayed in the kish-kishi house in the ricefeeld, in the 2th floor. It was quiet, with a beautiful atmosphere, The room had been cleaned every day and we became fresh bedsheets and towels after one week. This all was just perfect. We felt very home and relaxed. The surrounding was beautifull and friendly. The arcitecture oft he house gave a very nice and cool clima, there is no fan neccessary. The pool is clean and relaxed. A bit out of center Ubud, a 10 min ride with a scooter, you can rent a scooter direct by Nyoman. We will like to come back to Nyomans place on our next trip to Ubud.
