Very nice place with a great view to the lake, you can see the amazing sun sets. They have a restaurant , with good and reasonably priced food. Staff are all very accommodating and nice.

Delmy’s place is the place to stay if you want to run away from the hassle of busy Flores. Between Tikal & Flores you can spend a day in each cities. My room was clean so is the bathroom. Delmy & her staff went above & beyond to make my stay pleasant starting from picking me up from the airport, suggesting the right tour to take in Tikal and arranging transportation as well in a very convenient prices! Delmy is a great help! She responses with seconds and if needed she will be on my door step to help me with anything I wanted ( My AC wouldn’t work on my 2nd night so she switched my room immediately!)

This is a good budget hotel close to Tikal. Its safe and clean. Check in was smooth. The rooms are very basic and the sheets and towels are adequate but not comfortable. The staff is very friendly even though they are a little disorganized. The Tvs in the room are new and have plenty of channels to relax in the evening. The hotel is sort of run like a loving family with Delmy as the matriarch which was sort of charming. The main reason to stay here is that you are close to Tikal. I rented a car. From this hotel and with a car you can avoid the hordes of crowds and other day trippers from Flores. I went to Tikal for two consecutive days from 4-6 PM and 6-9 am and I had the place mostly to myself. Another charming thing about the town that exceeded expectations was walking along Lake Peten Itza. El Remate and the surrounding area are postcards of charming rural Central American life. Pigs, horses, and other livestock roam free and graze the neighborhood and local farmers sell their fruit and vegetables from the backs of pick-up trucks. The walk along Lake Peten Itza (exit the hotel and take the left fork on the road that runs along the water towards 'Hotel & Restaurante Mon Ami') was my favorite thing to do in town. The road along the water is safe for walking with light traffic. There are some cabanas along the water with chairs and hammocks that you can sit in for 1 or 2 dollars.
