Lucia’s place was as described. But as I walked in the door I was called away and had to cancel! I basically walked through the space and then had to leave! The vibe I got was of a cute space with a sort of shabby-chic, musty book, New Orleans energy. She keeps the place cute and the bed looked comfortable. The sheets looked clean and soft. I was in town due to a loss in the family and this would have been a great area for my purposes: it’s a quiet place that is near the University and the “center” of town. Also it’s close to grocery stores and restaurants. I was sad to have to cancel but my "Trip Details" page said I could get a partial refund for my last 2 days. Lucia explained that this was not the case and shared a screen grab showing that I had to cancel 5 days in advance for a refund. If you need flexibility, I would suggest contacting her in advance of booking to confirm what the exact policy is. In my case, it was last minute and I lost my money for 3 nights. That's life!

Lucia is laid-back and a welcoming host. Easy to communicate with. Very friendly.

My stay was a little weird and I think I caught Lucia and her house on an off day! The good: my room was very pleasant, clean, comfortable bed. Neighborhood very quiet. Shared (with one other guest) bathroom fine. Lucia was really nice, and I enjoyed chatting with her a bit. Things just seemed a little haywire. I arrived in afternoon to drop my bag off and said I planned to be back around 10 pm, but Lucia explained keybox was broken, & she had to travel to Kansas City, so the other guest would have to let me in: (turning to her) "will you be here then?" This made me a little nervous, what if she had to go out?? Lucia told me to latch door behind me after I came in. When I arrived at 10, Lucia was on front porch in a state and said she had lost her keys to car (thought one of her dogs had taken them!) so trip was delayed. I got up at 12 and noticed front door was wide open! I wasn't sure what to do, so locked it, but wasn't sure if Lucia was around... Felt a bit unsafe.

Lucia is a wonderful person. Lucia's home is spectacularly clean and extremely cozy to sleep in. The price is far more worth than the her listing price. Lucia's two dogs, Ringo and Coco, are super nice and would want to be with you all the time. As a dog lover myself, these two dogs kept me away from being bored, so I am super satisfied with her airbnb room. Luica is super nice enough to share a meal with me, and I enjoyed talking with her. Her beds are well fitted, and her bathroom is extremely clean. As per myself, I usually don't get used to the new environment if I stay at someone's house, but for Lucia's home, it felt like a home to me. I would definitely recommend using her service and would rent her room again one day.
